Okay, give me the R now and if no one has guessed the word when I'm here tomorrow, I'll post the answer and a new puzzle.
I am gonna guess an A

to make Halifirien. what ever that is? Any one want to tell me what it is.

And whoever wants to start the next one can. I have to pass.
Orc Smiling Smilie so someone finally put the answer down... halifirien is correct.
let me see if I can also explain it correctly. it was a kinda holy mountain somewhere in a wood north of the white mountains (in rohan), and there was the tomb of some very important person... I think there wasn't only one, but something like three or so, I don't really remember this. maybe isildur's was there? *arghhh* someone help me and my bad memory?? anyway, that's where eorl was given rohan, as long as I'm not completely wrong now... I should look it up, but the book is upstairs and I'm too lazy to get up... so can someone correct mistakes I've made or give a bit more information? thanks!!
plus: who wants to post a new word???
What Ithil was trying to explain is that Halifirien "Holy Mount" is the Rohirrim name for Amon Anwar "Hill of Awe" in the "Whispering Wood". It was the secret location of Elendil's Tomb, and there Cirion and Eorl vowed that their people would always come to the aid of the other and the Rohirrim were given basiclly all the land of Gondor to the west and north of there, except for the fortress of Angrenost and its tower containing the palantir (known later as Isengard and Orthanc).

The above story can be found in Unfinished Tales in the section entitled 'Cirion and Eorl'.

You probably know that Halifirien was the seventh and last of the beacon towers extending from Minas Tirith in Gondor to Rohan. It was located on a hill or spur of the White Mountains among the great oaks of the Firien Wood on the border of Rohan. Galndalf on his ride with Pippin, called off the names of the beacon towers, as the flames traveled west with their message of need to Rohan.
