I have 7 toons on Brandywine, and 1 on Landroval.. Landroval is the RP server.. so I just do RP there..
I was not an MMO person, but this game is amazing. the graphics, the staying true to lore, and the community has me hooked!
So... come quest in middle-earth... Be a Hobbit, a Dwarf, Elf, or Race of Man!
If you wish to try it out.. let me know... contact me through here or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
It also seemed to me to be rather lacking in its game play. Having been a long standing player of World of Warcraft I just cant see the class definitions being as defined, with out just copying from other MMOs. I also have doubts about the actual play style. It just seems that with out 2 playable factions the PvP will always be mediocre. And the PvE appears to pale in comparison to other MMOs.
I have no doubt that to those interested in Tolkiens works, but not to the point of reverance and pedantism towards its portrayal in other mediums, it will be an engaging if some what predictable game. but in terms of actual game play I feel like it will fall short of the competition and this may explain its distinct lack of attention when compared to other titles in the genre.
But yes, once you play World of Warcraft it's kind of hard to go to another game... I find they can't compare. I admittedly also participate in the Role Play aspect of the game, yes...
Anyhow, I have played LOTRO once or twice... I suppose it's a decent game that doesn't necessarily [i:2vvy04kd]tear[/i:2vvy04kd] at Tolkien Lore, but it kind of spoils it seeing it implemented into a video game where the text some people type is hardly coherent . And the money the video game asks for for the content and community it offers... doesn't exactly match up, no offense to you, tookish .
