I'd make up one, like Mithromen.
I would go with [i:30skw2tz]Eldorion[/i:30skw2tz], Sindarin for "Son of the Star-land" (i.e., Numenor) or "Son of the Elf-land" (since [i:30skw2tz]el[/i:30skw2tz] can mean either).

I would connect myself to Bilbo and Eowyn.
Bilbo because all he wants to do is sit down and finish his book without being bothered
Eowyn because of her yearning to do great deeds that only MEN have been known to do. Also her bein unsatisfied with the life she has and looking for someone to "take her away"

Anywho! I think a nice name would be Fombur Farender, if I was a Dwarf.

I think I would best relate to a combination of Sam and Fili/Kili.
They would not be caught without a flint and tinderbox, and loved scouting and adventuring, and fell while protecting Thorin. You would never catch me without matches or my pocketknife, and I do love going out hiking and "adventuring", and while I have never died while protecting my uncle, I would say my uncles and I have such relationships that would closer resemble that of a father and son, and if we were ever in a field of orcs, I would take the sword protecting them.
However, I would relate to Sam in the ways that I enjoy and see merit in staying home and cooking ""Po-ta-toes! Boil them, mash them, stick them in a stew!", while chatting with friends on important and silly topics near the fire.
I think this is one of my favorite quotes in the movies/books, and I believe in this strongly, in which can be summed up to, (which Sam says) "That there's some good in the world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for."
That whole section, though, makes have that "tingly" feeling every time I read it.

I would be the noble and brave, Jolly Cotton. He of course had his hour of glory, when he defended his dad's farm against the evil that was Sharkey's Men. What a hero! Plus I can relate to him- I defended my dad from the evil of our DVD player (It has electical problems- so I bought a new one). So without Jolly, I may well have no had the strength to go out and complete such a deed.

I have actually been to a site that translates your name into elvish and mine was Valandil! Valandil is in the fellowship of the ring, he is mentioned as a descendant of Isildur!

My guess is Valandil probably wasn't a translation but rather came from a name generator (outside of the books of course) -- unless the name you put in had something to do with the Valar or similar!
