Einar: Welcome to our forum. Happy Elf Smilie

I agree with you in general, but am also thankful that he has/is making the movies as well as he has. I've waited 35 years to see the books brought to life on the big screen and am enjoying them for their own sake, deciding to ignore the changes as minor discrepancies, while hoping the commentary on the LotR: TTT Extended DVD will explain why PJ chose to make his changes. Cool Elf Smilie

After seeing the LotR: FotR Extended DVD and its commentaries, I was finally satisfied with his rendition of the LotR: FotR(except I still wanted to see Old Man Willow, Tom Bombadil, and the Barrow-wight). Maybe by this time next year I will be finally satisfied with the LotR: TTT and will be grousing about LotR: RotK. Elf With a Big Grin Smilie
