(sung to the tune of "I Left my Heart In San Francisco)

The loveliness of Pelargir seems somehow sadly gay
The glory that was Rivendell is of another day
I've been terribly alone and forgotten in Minas Tirith
I'm going home to my city by the Bay

I left my heart in Gondor
High on a hill, it calls to me

To be where little pony carts
climb halfway to the stars
The morning fog may chill the air,
I don't care

My love waits there in Gondor
Above the blue and windy sea

When I come home to you, Gondor

Your golden sun will shine for me
Pretty good Ainamenelwen, though I can't picture Tony Bennet doing the singing of it. Maybe because he doesn't have pointy ears? Elk Grinning Smilie
I know what you mean, it just wouldn't work. But while I was typing this I had visions of Aragon singing - since he did such a good job during his coronation maybe, just maybe he could get another gig anywhere in ME just to past the time.
Yup, that's the way with politicians, Shaking Head Smilie always jumping in to take advantage of any situation. I Go ahead and try it Aragorn, and good luck, but watch out for that high note. Elf With a Big Grin Smilie
Cool Elf Smilie

Working on another one... hmmm this one's to the tune of Massachusetts (which I happen to be listening to at the moment.)

Feel I'm goin' back to Minas Tirith.
Something's telling me I must go home.
And the lights all went out in Minas Tirith
The day I left her standing on her own.

Tried to hitch a ride to Hobbiton.
Gotta do the things I wanna do.
And the lights all went out in Minas Tirith
They brought me back to see my way with you.

Talk about the life in Minas Tirith.
Speak about the people I have seen.
And the lights all went out in Minas Tirith,
And Minas Tirith is one place I have seen.

I will remember Minas Tirith.
I will remember Minas Tirith.
I will remember Minas Tirith...
(Don't Fear) The Ringwraith (sung to the tune of (Don't Fear) The Reaper)

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the ringwraith
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain… we can be like they are
Come on baby… don't fear the ringwraith
Baby take my hand… don't fear the ringwraith
We'll be able to fly… don't fear the ringwraith
Baby I'm your man...

Valentine is done
Here but now they're gone
Eärendil and Elwing
Are together in eternity… Eärendil and Elwing
40,000 men and women everyday… Like Eärendil and Elwing
40,000 men and women everyday… Redefine happiness
Another 40,000 coming everyday… We can be like they are
Come on baby… don't fear the ringwraith
Baby take my hand… don't fear the ringwraith
We'll be able to fly… don't fear the ringwraith
Baby I'm your man...

Love of two is one
Here but now they're gone
Came the last night of sadness
And it was clear she couldn't go on
Then the door was open and the wind appeared
The candles blew then disappeared
The curtains flew then he appeared… saying don't be afraid
Come on baby… and she had no fear
And she ran to him… then they started to fly
They looked backward and said good bye… she had become like they are
She had taken his hand… she had become like they are
Come on baby… don't fear the ringwraith
