I suggest you google "Eric Wilson". When I did, I found a Canadian postAuthorID, A British painter, a reviewer, a musician, and many more besides. Which on you heard about probably depends on the context in the song. Mayhaps he is an opener for some more or less famous group.
Eric Wilson was Sublime's bass player Wink Smilie
Thanks Prog. Did he die or somrthing then, coz that's what the song suggests? ŋ Dead Smilie ?
Sublime there's a band I've not listened to in ages!
No, Eric Wilson's not dead. Brad Nowell, the lead singer and guitarist, died of a heroin overdose in 1996.

I know the song you're talking about and there's a number of ways you can interpret that line... but he's certainly not dead Wink Smilie

That's news to me! Still, Sublime kick a**! Or kicked? Are they still going now Bradley's dead?

(Rednell had to add a couple of *'s. Perhaps you could try using butt?)

I didnīt even know that there was a band called sublime, can you name three famous songs with them, that I might possibly know?
Not unless you're into punk!
I listen to almost everything.
Try me! I might recognize it! Smile Smilie

That would be kicked... past tense. Sublime broke up the day Bradley Nowell died, which was actually a couple months before their breakthrough self-titled album was released. There have been a couple other posthumous releases as well.

BTW, I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to use the "a" word here so don't be surprised if you get edited... or you could save the mods the trouble and do it yourself Wink Smilie

Katakutur, Sublime's biggest hits were Santeria, What I Got and Wrong Way.
Sorry about the a**. I'll moderate my language in future. And about Sublime breaking up, I only just found out. Better 7 years late than never. Big Laugh Smilie
I think Iīve heard Wrong way but I donīt remember to have heard the other songs! But who knows, I donīt know the names of all the songs that I have heard! Sad Smilie
