I like the concept more and the acting as well as actors
Cream-cake or ordinary cake ?
ice cream cake, mmmm had some just last night
basketball or Lacrosse?
Lacrosse might maintain my interest; basketball wouldn't.
Tried and Proven Potboilers or Original Works?
Ummmm...Tried and Proven ?
Brownies or Blondies?
Brownies, but only if I can have a glass of milk with them.
Tortilla strips or Dorito Nachos
Bungee jumping or tightrope walking?
battle at helms deep or siege of gondor?
Siege of gondor.
Bio or GM?
GM...if you mean General Motors corporation, the manufacturer of many fine automobiles, whose U.S. Desert Proving Grounds, where they test all of their vehicles in endurance, performance in hot conditions and durability, are less than two miles from my house!
Someone or Anyone?
Up or down?
Always look up in life
Forward or backwards ?
Neither, they were both horrible.
Gulliver's Travels or Alice in Wonderland?
"Curiouser and curiouser!"
'I definitely choose Alice,' said the Elf; and this time he vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of his toes, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of him had gone.
The ORIGINAL Star Wars movies; or the PREQUELS?
The original three by far: Ep. I was the worst of the bunch Ep. III was almost as good as the first three, but no where near Ep. V, which was the best.
Orland Bloom as Captain Will Turner or Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow?
Cap'n Jack. Can he come gift wrapped?
Silver or Gold?
Gold, because the next time I'm wearing any it will mean my fiancťe and I finally got married.
Baseball or cricket?
Baseball...and Sian, if you figure out how to have Johnny Depp, as Captain Jack, shipped directly to your door, can I have one too, please??? If you throw in a Will Turner, I'll be your eternal slave!
(By the way, congrats Meneldur, even if you're not quite there yet. You will finally really
understand all of the jokes and cliches around being married...mwahahaha!
Swashbuckling, high-seas adventure
or Adventure in your own personal home?
Real high-seas adventure would be great but I'm too stiff and asthmatic so will choose to stay at home and remember the pseudo- pirate ship I got to sail on in Barbados >sigh<.
Canoe or rowboat?
Congratulations Meneldur and much happiness! Laurel, it's a deal!
Canoe as it is more fun, though not quite as safe. If I could still use my legs I'd lose a hundred pounds, buy a kayak, and paddle on Puget Sound and its environs.
Push mower or gas powered lawnmower
Neither...Landscaper!!! I love gardening (flowers & herbs), but absolutely hate mowing the lawn. If I absolutely HAD
to do it myself, I'd get a nice rechargeable electric one like my neighbor Peter just got. Quiet as a whisper, no emissions, and no cord.
Laurel & Sian, thanks for the congrats. Believe me I know the jokes & cliches, this will be my second time around (hers too).
Electric guitar, or Acoustic???
acoustic, sounds nice and im better at it
Beef or chicken?
I LOVE acoustic! Husband and son both played but son needs $$ and has to sell his.
Organic or not?
Oh wow, I got two answers to my question, so I guess I have to answer both back.
(P.S. I play both acoustic & electric, and yeah I usually prefer the acoustic too.
* BEEF BEEF BEEF Mooooooooooooooo, there's nothing like a thick juicy steak
Diet soda, or regular?
I should drink diet but I just can't get past the awful aftertaste. Even Splenda tastes horrible.
Lottery or scratch games?
I'm too cheap to waste by money against such odds, so I don't do either; though I did buy one lottery ticket when they first were made legal in my State over a decade ago.
Soup or Salad
I prefer soup when it's cold out, and salad in the spring & summer.
Regarding TV and movies: drama, or sitcom
Drama, I now find sitcoms innane; could that be why I've never watched Seinfeld?
boots or loafers
BOOTS! I love my black Timberlands. And I agree with you about drama vs. sitcom, I can't remember the last time I watched a sitcom. Actually I prefer "no tv" at all.
pie or cake
Pie!!! Chocolate silk, to be exact. Though about fifteen years ago, when I went to the beautiful island of Maui, I was at a restaurant in Lahaina called Leilani's on the beach and I had the most amazing pie ever. It was an oreo cookie crust topped with chocolate ice cream, fudge, mocha ice cream, fudge, chocolate truffle, a thin layer of dark chocolate and then more fudge. They called it "Hula Pie" and if you ever go there, please, for the sake of your soul, order it. You will then know what heaven truly is, trust me.
Cello or Clarinet ?
Cello, I like mellow; though a good clarinet player who has mastered her instrument, will have banished its squawks to the school band's practice room. Give me liberty or give me fingernails on a blackboard instead of those squawks.
Paper or plastic I understand the UK has outlawed plastic grocery bags; have they become that enlightened?
They both stink -- paper bags don't have handles, and plastic bags are weak and break easily. All the local grocery stores around here give plastic by default. And if you do want paper, it's a real pain in the rear-end, they never seem to have them available at the checkout line.
Pizza, or Chinese take-out?
Pizza, please! I love it but nobody else does so I don't get it often enough (even tho I'm the cook - go figure!
Smooth and creamy or crisp and crunchy?
Uhhh I assume you're talking about peanut butter???
I guess I prefer crunchy, but I hate how the nuts get stuck in my teeth. Sometimes I go with smooth just because I don't want to deal with the nuts at that moment.
Beer or wine?
Day!!! Let in the glorious light, open all the shades! The birds are singing! You survived another night! Hooray for day!!! Woo-hoo! (P.S. I would guess that Virumor would prefer night...not sure why...
(only a slight variation...)
Night, probably because I love to sit and watch the stars and then finally get some silence from the bustles of everyday life, plus if you wrap up alot and then go outside at 3am, get some fresh air and really take in what exists without the car fumes
edit: Sorry Laurelindhe, you just about beat me to it, I prefer cucumbers, the crunch as well and the soft inside, like the Arrrrmadillloooooo, crunchy on the outside, smooth on the inside...
The Sil or Unfinished Tales?
UT, they're more readable to me, but that's just my opinion; others are free to form their own.
Radio or TV
RADIO. I hate tv -- 99% of the programs are terrible, and I absolutely can't stand the constant commercials. Actually I'm not crazy about all the radio commercials either. My REAL preference is listening to cd's, and then radio would be second behind that.
A clown or a magician?
(I mean to watch, not to be one)
I do't like clowns but I like someone to impress me with their tricks
MP3 or Radio ?
Radio - I have one of my local NPR stations tuned in from before I get up until after I go to bed and I often listen to Classical KING FM during the wee small hours of the morning having gotten tired of BBC radio during that timeslot.
Sharp Cheddar Cheese or American Processed Cheese?
Oooooooooo CHEDDAR ALL THE WAY BABY!! American "cheese" isn't even really cheese in my opinion, and it's only good for one thing...grilled cheese sandwiches.
Ritz crackers, or Saltines?
Saltines, I always thought Ritz weren't up to my standard; though a little peanut butter will make either edible.
I'd rather have Wheat Thins or flavored Rye Krisp, either with cheese.
Hoeing weeds or doing dishes?
ACK! I can't stand weeding, so I guess I'll pick the dishes. Actually...I'd rather let the weeds go, have my girlfriend do the dishes, and I'll go on PT to read the latest posts!
Gas grill, or charcoal?
Charcoal. Waaaayyyyyyy better flavor and ah, the smell! You really can't beat the taste of a charcoal and mesquite-cooked steak...yum!
Rome or Egypt (if you had to be a subject of either of these ancient societies during the height of their reign)?
Hmm, both places used to have separate Gods (many in fact) so the history would be very rich in both places... But I have always been fascinated with the Egypt history of their ways and culture as well as the Gods... I would choose Egypt, for the really intense history lesson
Lemon Juice or Raw Chilli?
T-shirt or sweater ?
Enya or Evanescence
<< >>
Neither, let's hear some RUSH.
Symphony orchestra, or marching band?
