Aw, come on, Fea! What's a game without a little Googling????

I have spoken!! No cheating or "googling"!! Tongue Smilie Please... Angel Smilie
As we have gone onto a new page I shall repost Stony's question.

Quote:
You know you just can't kill a man when he's dead, you know the spirit survives.
Skillet - Invincible

Quote:
This body holding me
Reminds me of my own mortality.
Embrace this moment, remember
We are eternal, all this pain is an illusion.
You Tool geek. Now you all know the band and I'm not putting down as after a 14 hour shift thinking of a song to replace it is to much hard work. So pull your fingers out. I have to agree with Pere that Tool are quite good, they're almost Prog Rock, so now you'll have to listen to some of their work.
That's the first time I've heard the term 'Tool geek'.
Lol!

Ehm, someone start a new song? I'm out of time and inspiration here.
Tool has some great songs but I'm not able to buy them because I am underage and their albums are hard enough to find anyways.. Eek, this post belongs in the Tool thread that doesn't exist (Ohh Pere Wink Smilie).
If it's okay with everyone I can post the new song. Happy Elf Smilie
Go ahead Fea. Smile Smilie

Tool thread coming soon...
Thank you, Pere Smile Smilie Nice to have you back, btw.
Quote:
Morning found us calmly unaware
Noon burn gold into our hair
I haven't a clue whatsoever. And I've never heard of Tool either, but that's quite normal.
The Doors - summer's almost gone

You know i'm born to lose,
and gambling's for fools,
but thats the way i like it baby,
i don't wanna live forever

(Tool are good, but not as good as POD Big Smile Smilie)
Motorhead - Ace of Spades

POD? Ugh.

Quote:
Wake up in the darkest hour
Angels are surrounding you
In the borderland of heaven
Lucid are yor dreams tonight
therion - the dreams of swedenborg

Quote:
You always were the one to show me how
Back then I couldn't do things that I can do now
This thing is slowly taking me apart
Grey would be the color if I had a heart
NIN - Something I can never have

Quote:
There is no forgiveness in these eyes
For any of you but one
Dispel the mist, for now
Melinda is the reason why I've come
That'd be Opeth - The Moor, right?

And for a small change of pace:

Quote:
Louis Miller disappeared dear
After drawing out his cash
And Mac-heath spends like a sailo
Did our boy do something rash

'Mac the Knife' from the Three Penny Opera - I like Louis Armstrong's version the best.
your go Grondy...
Okay, here goes:
Quote:
Twinkle, twinkle, little bat!
How I wonder what you're at!
It's from a song in "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. And that's all I know about it. Tongue Smilie
Your turn Tommie. Wiggle Smilie
Weehee! Big Smile Smilie

Quote:
And I don't want the world to see me
'Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
Hmmm. Hello? Anyone have any idea? I thought it was rather well-known. Disturbed Smilie

Hint: the group initials are TGGD. Smile Smilie
The Greedy Goblin Duo? Wink Smilie
The Goo Goo Dolls!!
It is the Goo Goo Dolls, and the song is "Iris" from 1998.

Alright, try this one on for size:

Quote:
If there's a bustle in your headrow, don't be alarmed now
it's just a spring clean for the May Queen.
Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow, and did you know,
your stairway lies on the whispering wind...

I realize that this one is very easy for most of us, but there may be some of the younger members here that have not heard it or don't know it...that seems impossible to me. Elf Winking Smilie
Well of course, the wonderful Led Zep - Stairway to Heaven. Shame on you youngsters like me who didn't know that.....
Hmm, now, what about...

Did you ever seem to have one of those days
When everyone seemed to be on your case
From your teacher all the waydown to your best girlfriend
Well, that used to happen to me all the time
But I found a way to get out of it

Most of the younger members probably haven't heard of this band, but they're one of my favourites Smile Smilie

(How did you guys not know that Tommie's was The Goo Goo Dolls? [the lead singer is so hot. ahem.])

So it was, so it was. Big Smile Smilie

But I have no clue as to yours Rawien, sorry.
Rawien, try as I might, this old brain cannot tap into its own limited resources...can we have another verse or a clue?
I think Rawien's would be Motley Crue's Smokin’ in the boys room.
OMG, I have not heard that song in twenty years! Good memory, Grondmaster, I believe you are right! What a relic of a song! Now, if Rawien's not coming back to confirm our guesses, do we carry the thread on from here?
Tis Grondy's turn
Forgive me Grondy, but may I take a try at this game? Do you guys remember this one?

Well I remember every little thing as if it happened yesterday.
Parking by the lake and there was not another car in sight.
And I never had a girl lookin' any better than you did.
And all the kids at school they were wishing they were me that night.
Please be my guest TJ. Cool Elf Smilie
That's either a Golden Oldie, or it has never been broadcasted in New ZEaland, cause I've nveer heard of it. Then again, I never used to be the greatest at knowing what songs are what.
If that ain't good old Meat Loaf. Paradise by the dashboard lights. Great song.

Now please take your turn master Grond because I just ran out of lyrics. Animated Wink Smilie
Okay!

Quote:
She's the girl in the red blue jeans
She's the queen of all the teens
She's the one that I know
She's the one that loves me so
I know it, but I'll let someone else have it.

Great taste, Grondy! Big Smile Smilie
Hint: Gene Vincent did it; John Lennon covered it.
I suppose I should go ahead and post it then.

Be-bob-a-lula, she's my baby
Be-bob-a-lula, I don't mean maybe

Fine song! Thumbs Up Smilie

New one:

Quote:
Suddenly the world seems such a perfect place
Suddenly it moves with such a perfect grace
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste
It all revolves around you
yeay, yeay - I know this one...

Come What May - from Moulin Rouge

I love that song!!!

ok - here's a toughie
Quote:
I built another temple to a stranger
I gave away my heart to the rushing wind
I set my course to run right into danger
Sought the company of fools instead of friends
Jealous Kind by Jars of clay

*pick up the phone, I'm always home, call me anytime!*
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by AC/DC ?
Yep, you're an enigma Grond, your turn.
Okay try this:
Quote:
Just finish cleanin' up your room
And sweep the dust out with that broom
Get all that garbage out of sight
Or you don't go out Friday night
Okay, that was just a later verse, here's an earlier one:

Quote:
Take out the papers and the trash
Or you don’t get no spendin’ cash
You better wax that kitchen flo’
Or you ain’t rock ’n rollin’ no mo’!
Yakaty yak by the coasters

The game of life is hard to play, I'm gonna lose it anyway.
The losing card I'll someday lay, so this is all I have to say
The M*A*S*H* theme!

Ticking away the moments that make up the dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off hand way
Time by Pink Floyd(was waiting for floydy to get that one but he can't be around)

There was a virus goin round, Papa caught it and he died last spring.
Now Mama doesn't seem to wanna do much of anything
Here are a couple more lines to Rhodry's song:

"Seems like nothin' ever comes to no good up on Chaktau Ridge
And now Billy Joe McAllister's jumped off the Talahatchi Bridge."
And it was written and sung by Bobbie Gentry.

So, what's it called?
