Remove that junk this instant!

From my calendar today: "Gandalf looked like a grey-cloaked, grey-haired, bent old man, and passed easily for a meddlesome old conjuror."

Oh, and Vee...it's one of my favorite poems to! "Do I dare to eat a peach?" Teacher Smilie

Mithrandir appeared as an ashen-caped, grizzle headed, crook-backed codger; simply disguised as a busy-bodied elderly trickster.
I like that one, Grondy. Smile Smilie Nice. So...what words are we to twist of yours?
Oops, I spent so much time coming up with those different words, that I forgot to add a follow on.

'A wandering Elf, a thrall escaped, whom Beleg met and comforted.'
No worries, Grondy Smile Smilie. Your sentence more than made up for the missing prompt.

Quote:

A drifting child of Illuvatar, bondage fled, happened upon another Sindarin elf of great strength and stamina by whom he was aided.

From my calendar once again:
"Of all the Istari, he was the closest to the Eldar and was the only Wizard who truly cared about things of seemingly small value like Hobbits and trees."

Amongst the population of Wizards, Gandalf had the esteem of the 'Elves of the Three Kindreds'; being the one of them who fully appreciated entities of minor apparent worth, such as Halflings and forests.

(timber is to trees as ham is to pigs, so I really couldn't justify its usage in this context.)

And here we have Mr Saruman's charming residence with both mountain and valley views from all windows and all the charm one normally associates with such an historical building and just wait until you see what he has done with the interior....

He thought of all the things he kept in his own pockets: fishbones, goblins' teeth, wet shells, a bit of bat-wing, a sharp stone to sharpen his fangs on, and other nasty things.
Gollum, The Hobbit.

He has the same things in his pockets as my mother-in-law?

Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers. Ha!
The chap over there, named Pierre by the French, and who plays a small piped wind instrument collected a bag of capsicums preserved in a vinegar solution. Ho ho!

We will burn like heathen kings before ever a ship sailed hither from the West.
Denethor, The Siege of Gondor, RotK
We shall roast in a most undignified fashion prior to any floating devices used to transport people and goods across the big blue wet thing coming from the direction which is the opposite to East.

Hello!!!!! (Let's see how long you can twist THAT one!!!)

"Were going out in a flame of glory just like in the olden days prior to any Númenorians setting foot in Middle-earth.—I say this only because I've seen those ships coming up the river; and they certainly don't contain any Númenorian marines coming to save us, nor any Elven lordlings sailing out of Valinor, even."

Oops, Loni got in before I was finished typing my response, so I'll answer hers too.

Hello !!!!!
Greetings and salutations; well met, and nice to see you again.

I hate raisins
I have dedicated my entire life to the despising of small, dried red grapes and I am going to show my contempt for them unabashedly, until the end of time!

Sometimes I swear that I must have been dropped on my head as a baby, because my brain never wants to cooperate with me!
Rock-a-bye, bab..... Ouch, my head hurts, or at least that's my excuse.

This piece of string is just too short.
This fragment of a chord is much much too minuscule for the noose I was going to create. Wink Smilie

Roses are red, violets are blue, honey is sweet, and so are you

Roses are red, violets are blue, honey is sweet, and so are you.
The five petaled, prickely stemed , multi-stamened flowers:
Appear the color found at the lower end of the visible spectrum.
The short, purplish, fragrant flowers:
Appear the color found at the upper end of the spectrum we see.
The syrupy substance made by our friends the bee,
Has an agreeable flavor, as does thee.

(The quote was very difficult to translate and I had to revert to a color to describe violets: they also come in colors of white, yellow, green, blue, and purple)

"As our character deteriorates, so does our taste."
Concurrently with the loss of personality, our ideals of quality obliterate.(???)

"Mother always did like Richard best...Ahh! Mummy! (Sucks thumb noisely)...I've got a dirty thumb!"
'Dicky was ever Mama's pet since he was conceived...Oooo! Mudda! (As he tries to get milk, with much slurpiness, from the digit opposing his fingers)...That's one yucky tasting digit!'

Envy is always brought into the world through a woman's labour with extreme affection, but does not always decease with the afore mentioned extreme affection

"Even if it takes an eternity, he will make amends"

Raise its temperature, reduce its temperature and leave that gloop of mashed peas to fester in a saucepan for a week and two days. (Then, if you have any sense at all, you will either throw it away or use it as organic wall paper adhesive.)

The everyman Roget's thesaurus of English words and phrases is a useful book.
Many students find the iconoclastic book of synonyms too handy; usually ending up employing the wrong words in making their case.

"Simplicity put on is a subtle imposture."
Pretending to be humble is as complicated as being high-maintenance.

An amount equal to the number of pickled peppers in that peck that Peter Piper picked. Super Wow Smilie

"So we're tardy; I got you here alive didn't I?"

Sixty-seven years ago our forbearers founded a novel country, imagined in freedom and consecrated to the maxim that every human is originated the same.
A long time ago, some old dudes decided to overtake the native peoples of this continent and either kill them or drive them away from their ancestral lands in order to set aside a new country for the burgeoning influx of foreign immigrants, then they wrote up a long list of "freedoms" that would later be twisted into empty facades and stripped away from the people, in order to make the pocketbooks of all crooked politicians fatter, claiming to have the idea that all different races were created equal but immediately disproving the idea with the enslavement of the African people, all the while conducting wars that were fought by financially-deprived little boys in the name of said "freedoms", resulting in countless millions of deaths for either money or world domination.

Who am I to slander the country I live in while so many brave people have lost their lives defending my freedom?

What right do I have to complain when I live here and take part in almost everything I've complained about? Millions of people have died to enable me to live a life full of censorship and materialism, hoping I would not question my government, which is often seen as unpatriotic, praying I would not see that the cost of my so-called independence is the depedence on hundreds of other people and countries.

Look West young man, evil goes East.
Turn your countenance to the sunset my young male, as that which is impure and diabolical dwells on the horizon of sunrise.

Your call will be answered in the order in which it was received.
Just hang by your phone, because we want to wear you down before we will ever condesend to hear what you have to say.

The Sun rises from the East.
A glowing ball of fire appears on the horizon every morning.

Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary,
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore...
It's late, I'm tired and what the hell does this mean...?

There is no one available to take your call at the moment so please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.

(In teenage girl voice)This one time, I stayed up too late on a totally boring night and I felt all, like, tired and stuff, so I read through all these really old books that were, like, old and stuff and they were so weird!
