A jewel in my hand is a very sad lament. And they weren't even married.
Your poem and picture work well together. However, I would rather dwell on the happier times they spent together with their friend and comrade, Gimli.
Well done Sepdet.

What a wonderful poem Sepdet. Are you interested in having it put into the Fan Writings section? If so, let me know. allyssa_cadwallon@hotmail.com
It must have been very hard for elves to accept the death of their mortal friends. I think that is why Elladan and Elrohir were always so taciturn and distant. Poor Legolas had to go through quite a learning experience during his association with the Fellowship, and your poem reflects his grief at the loss of one of his closest friends - Aragorn. One can only hope that he will make plenty of new immortal friends in the Undying Lands.

Oops, sorry about the bandwidth! I'm going to be bad and change the link to the full-size rather than 3/4-size version of the piccie.
And I most certainly agree: those "Three Hunters" bonding moments were some of the better parts of the movie.
As for marriage, they're just old friends. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Someone else can write the other story.
