Well, when we open a thread by clicking on a link, the thread opens directly from the first page of the concerned thread. But then most of us aren't really concerned with the first page and then have to click again to reach the last few pages where the fun is in process.

So, to save some quality time, we could have the last page open up directly after clicking on the link. In that case we don't have to click another time to reach the last page. And for those who want to read the introduction to the thread (a very few number, I think) can click on the link to the first page. Saves time for all especially those with slow net connection. What say you?
I belive something simmular has been asked before and the answer was no. You can alway click 'stop' to stop the page from loading completly and/or just click the right page number when you see it. That is what i do if I am impatient and when I am home with my folks and their ISDN line. Smile Smilie

Sadly yes. There are so many great posts that people never see because they don't bother or don't have time to see what has been said earlier.
Well, then with the journals. When we are reading a journal by a member and then we want to go back to the page where all the journal entries by the member is listed, I click on the little button on the lowerleft corner that reads "back". And after that it gives a server error followed by a warning when I refresh the page. Is this really a problem or is it just my "dumb" terminal. (pardon the pun)

There, those are th warnings I get!
I wouldn't call it a problem, I would call it annoying. Wink Smilie I guess we have to remember to right click the journal entry we want to read and select "open in new window". Back button works fine when you open a journal from the list over here to the right. ------>
Yes, it does. But that is the button to come back to the page you were in previously (Duh!). The problem is when you want to come back to the page which has the lists of all the journal entries by the member. You might have tried reading the journals of other members by going to "Journals". After you are done reading the journal of other members, and then you want to go back to the list of all the entries by that member, you click on "back", but then it doesn't do what it is supposed to do. That is the problem or annoyance as you call it! I think I'm beginning to get a bit repetative so I'll stop!

Yes I know, I understood it the first time you said it. Taz has a long list of things to do on the site when he gets time, I don't expect this to be fixed over night and in the mean time we will just have to wait.

I don't know the reason why this happens or how to fix it. But I do know a way I around it. Open the journal in another window. That way you won't need the back button at all to read the next journal. Smile Smilie

And I will mention again that the back button works if you try to view the journals in the list over there ---->
so you don't have to open them in another window, unless you want to. Wink Smilie

Neither do I expect the same thing. I was just pointing out a teeny weeny little bug.
I know, but since my first reply wasn't clear enough, I thought it was best to explain why 'open in a new window' was the best advice I could give now. Happy Elf Smilie
Well, I understood your suggestion, sis. Thanks for it. I did try it and it does work that way. Hehe, this threads seems more like a conversation between us than an actual thread!
I did think at least one other person would join us and maybe give a better solution than mine. Where did the computer geeks go? Wary Smilie
To me it sounds like that the table that is used to get information from to generate the journal entry by member *takes a deep breath* is a bit ticked off or maybe corrupt. I had the same error (SQL problem) with one of my sites a while ago. Looks like the SQL database needs a bit of rebuilding... but then... Oh well.
