Thread: New Design
About the "edge bits" Grondy was talking about. I have them too. If we got rid of them, the forums could be made "wider" and more spacious. Just a thought.

I like it alot, however I find it very hard to see the subject matter since it's written in black against a red or maroon colored background. It would be alot easier to see if it were all white or maybe just a different color so it could stand out more........just a thought. But overall, it's very nice!
Speed: I don't find it noticably slower, and I am using a P3 with dial up (can't get much slower). I like the way the pages reconstruct themselves when you press the page-down button. Very swish.
But my only problem is that it seems to make things run a lot slower on my machine for some reason.
It looks good Taz, although I've now got to go and alter a section of the new Guide I was working on because the screen and some of the features are different now.
You guys don't find it hard to see the black subjects under each section head??
What I really like is the font's larger point type in the input windows; I used to have to strain to read what I was writing.
I think it may be the snowflakes that are slowing things down for you. But not to worry as this is just until Christmas is over. If you are still finding it too slow then Taz has given another option:
go into "My Account > Select Theme" and either choose from the old one "planettolkien" or our lighter theme for modem users "pt_light".
