Give up pizza, never, never I tell you!
I would definitly have to be an Elf as they are immortal but my second choice would have to be a dwarf as I can identify with them the most in the way that they are rather short but in other ways as well.
I'd never want to be an Elf... Maybe they live forever, but their lives are very boring. Come on, what do those guys do all day?? Singing, making poems? Pondering the past? Nice, but i'll pass for that, thank you.

No, i would be a citizen of Minas Tirith, or at least an inhabitant of Gondor.

Good enough for me.
I agree, being an elf may involve too much thinking and not enough eating, drinking and smoking pipeweed. But alas no telly. I think i would love that sort of simple life, in such a glorious land as the shire. yes I think so.
No, you are absolutely right Ringacwen, I just choose comfort and what seems like plenty over the seriousness of wat seems like a huge responsibility to me
Well, I think the best part in being in M-E no matter what race is that you don't have to go to school! There's still learning but no homeworks or tests or other stressful stuff. Life can be so simple...

ITA Faramir! I would want to be an elf as well. They're so amazing. If not an elf, then I suppose I would want to be a wizard......euh......witch since I'm a girl! Hmmmmm, actually nevermind about being a witch! It's an elf all the way for me!!!

Well I wouldn`t be able to answer your question because I don`t even know who Tom` is!
Sheryl: You will meet Tom Bombadil in Chapter Six of The Fellowship of the Ring. I'm sad to say that due to time restraints, PJ left Tom and his wife Goldberry out of his movie. And we aren't certain to what race Tom belonged. We know he wasn't a Man, Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, or wizard; there is some conjecture is was an ainur or even Eru on vacation. He was probably a natural spirit of the earth in human form. He was as old as the hills; the Elves said he was Iarwain Ben-adar, which means oldest and fatherless.
Come on Grondy you know he's got to be a maiar otherwise only Manwe not Gandalf would be able to talk to him and they wouldn't forget about him!

Me too Sad Smilie
I always thought he left them out because he's an egotistical hack!
Well, I'd most certainly be an elf. Smile Smilie Or maybe a human, but that's only if I got to be …owyn. Wink Smilie So an elf it is for me.

That's what the elves are all about! And wouldn't it be wonderful? Singing, making poems all day long! Yeah.. *sighs dreamingly* That's the life for me... Big Smile Smilie

Lol! Now why would you think such a thing, Ross? Sure, the movies may not agree with your opinions most of the time, but I really think that no matter what the outcome turned into, PJ was trying his best to make to movies a contribute to letting the masses know about Tolkiens world.
Understand this, though. When making a movie there's not only one will to rule. There are thousands of wills. What you need to do is compromise to reach a solution that fits every part. That includes leaving some things out and making new stuff up. No matter how much PJ had tried he wouldn't have come much closer to the original version, like it or not.

No this this is because he quite claerly hasn't read the book and adds these nonsensical plot changes just to satisfy his over large ego. He could have got it alot nearer to the book (even onto the same story as we all read) if he stopped adding nonexistent plot changes and swapping characters around. Now some of you will argue that we need to see the love devolping between Arwen and Aragorn but we all read the books before the appendices yet we all realised there was a love between them. If he's such a rubbish director that he can't portray this with out adding things that are supposed to have happend years before, then he sould consider a carer change!
Hey Ross, I know you think Pete Jackson is a talentless hack, but you should really go and watch "Bad Taste" and "Meet the Feebles" I think you'd really like them, then you could just say he was having a bad year or 5...

Oh no... PJ Directed "Meet the Feebles"??
Okay then, from now on I'm gonna keep my big mouth shut every time anybody says anything about him............

I saw Dangerous Creatures and that was bad enough.
Oh Ross, Heavenly Creatures was also very out of character for this King of Comic Horror, Brain Dead is another one of his finest moments, if only for the bit with the Flymo and the Zombies. This is what he has always been best known for, and the reason I thought people were joking when they told me he'd be doing Lotr. (btw, did you know he really wanted to have the watcher rip bill the pony's head off, kudos to you Mr. Jackson!)

Actually, I'd quite like to be Peter Jackson, he gets to spend all his time all over Middle Earth, and is in fact a Hobbit.

That is so true! I think about it every time I see him! Big Laugh Smilie This means... Hobbits still excists! I'm so happy!!!!!!! Orc Grinning Smilie
Base on the stats, being an elf is on the top of the list, and why shouldn't they be? Sauve, sexy, beautiful...other then the fact that in ME, most elves are selfish, self absorbed. (Except our darling Legolas of coz, lol, he's just an angel.)
Legolas is self absorbed, look at him beating Gimli in their freindly orc slaughtering contest!
BTW Ross, Gimli won that contest, 42-41.
Yeh, but Legolas was winning for most of it. And it was only becayse he got stuck in the caves instead of being a chicken and hidding in the burg!
I don't know about all of you but Elves are my kin.
To be able to learn for eternity...besides their wisdom and willingness to help all living beings they are an excellent fighters which makes them the perfect race in Middle-Earth for all I know. Teacher Smilie

As I seem to remember Elves were very reluctant to help Dwarves, Men, or Hobbits; and only did so when it seemed expedient. However, this was probably due to their wisdom of not getting drawn in the petty squabbles of the other races. When push came to shove, they did help out, but were still very stingy when it came to handing out advice, which was actually their great wisdom showing through.
well, I would love to be something like a Gargoyle..., but since tolkien forgot my favorite mithycal creatures....,I well think I would like to be an Elf...,but a noldor.... Wink Smilie

I'd want to be a hobbit because they have such peaceful lives and they get to live in a very beautiful area. But i would definalty have to be on the took side because i would have to be an adventure seeking hobbit... then i could know all the elves and men too, but i still get to live in the peaceful place...
! I would be.....hmm....well, i guess i would be an elf, i Love Lothlorien. Big Smile Smilie in my mind, it is the only way to go!!!
I'd have to say I wouldn't mind being a hobbit. A simple life filled with food and drink doesn't sound bad at all to me! Smoke Smilie
Well. hmm. hobbits. not bad, but i guess i really dont want to be 4 feet tall when i have been 5'7" for a long time now. Smile Smilie
lol Ringfacwen. ya. i agree. but still, elf would be kool, i guess the next best thing would be...human. Sad Smilie

i would totally be a elf bc elves rule and you live forever and they are wise and beautiful

Legata GreenLeaf Princess of Mirkwood

Hello, I'd be a Hobbit, preferably an elf-friend like Frodo, because I'm short and plump, but I think elves are really cool, especially Legolas. Wink Smilie

I've had that problem tonight Grondy. At one stage I surfed a few other sites to check it wasn't my modem playing up.
Hey! I'd totally be an elf! Elf Smilie
Perferably from Rivendale.

Winking SmilieI like being a Human here on Earth.
But, in Middle Earth I would love to be an Elf from Rivendell Cool Smilie Smoke Smilie
Hi everyone! I'd love to be a hobbit!
They're homes are in a beautiful setting, and the atmosphere seems to be friendly and the kinda place i long to be!! They also eat plenty and don't seem to be extremely overweight! always a bonus! Big Smile Smilie
hi im kinda new here so i hope you dont mind me joining in.
i'd be an elf 'cos they live forever, i noticed that some people wouldnt like that but if you didnt grow old you would feel pain of old age, you would have the time to enjoy life and do all of the things you've always wanted to do. You could always go to the undying lands if you wanted so thats kind of like dying and going to heven.
Ice Big Smile Smilie
I would love to be the younger sister or the daughter of eather Arwen or Eowyn.
i would want to be an elf but not live forever.

If I could be any other race, I would be an Elf. I like the idea of their grace and beauty. I would like to be either along the coast with Cirdan's people or in Mirkwood.
Thats a good idea Imra. Im sad to say but I in no way resemble a race in LoTRs,but if where being technical then I would be human Sad Smilie

Same here, I'd be a simple human.
Mae govannen!

I'd really like to be a Noldo Elf and I wouldn't mind living forever (hehe)! Of course, I'll choose the House of Feanor, but I wouldn't be Feanor, cause there's just one of his kind! He's unique!!! I'd think of some way to spend eternity, don't worry! I really like studying the past (either history or mythology), as well as geography, philosophy and, yes, religion! So I won't get bored.
My complexion is dark so I'd fit in among the Noldor. I've always considered they had some sort of inner fire which drove them to do the greatest (and, unfortunately, the most sorrowful) deeds.
Oh, and if I were to live somewhere, I can't think of a better place than Tirion, the fairest city of the Elves! (Gondolin comes second, btw)

Namarie!

P.S.: I wouldn't be terribly upset if I'd wake up someday being a powerful Maia! Not a Vala, that's illusion of grandeur; just look at Melkor!

P.P.S.: Oh, I've just done that test and I came out to be Legolas! Hmmmm ... *wonders*
I think I would like to be an elf from Cerin Amroth with Celeborn And Galadriel. Big Smile Smilie (Flo helped me out with this one)
Ok ae, so yu just did: "cut" and "copy" from msn to here did you??

Well, if you can pass all the ages and never die, I'd love to do it with you... So I'll also be In Cerin Amroth... Big Smile Smilie
