Oh Illuvatars underpants!! Odo the evil pestilence of independent womenhood has descened on Needlehole. I was standing back you know, I said so quite clearly. This is not my fault! Oh Thangrodim! Odo there's placards and posters in the village, its a disaster, they'll be having rallies next and burning their bras- and not the nice girly frilly ones you always buy for Primula but the sort you could use to sling boulders over castle walls, I've seen most of the womenfolk round here. I blame you for this you know Odo, you've brought the worst thing possible to a gentlehobbits door- an angry woman who is not scared to get up a petition. 'Is the male response to all things they don't like, violence and destruction, Petty'.-Jane Did you hear that? Blooming cheek, I've half a mind to find out. No, must remain calm. And what the heck did she mean by 'is buckie your answer to all life's problems?' Obviously YES. Whats the matter with her? Of course it is, its buckie! That's what its for. Oh bugger Odo, what have you done?
Me? Jane and Ally started it! :x Dark days, Mr Tyrant, dark days indeed!
Could have sworn you started this Odo, but if you plan on switching the blame onto the womenfolk I'll go along with that. They probably provoked you in some weird, subtle feminine way without you even realizing- they can do that you know!
Is this a good example of male thinking?:-Jane
Is this a good example of male thinking?:-Jane[/quote:33jb6xla] Only some of them. [b:33jb6xla]GB[/b:33jb6xla]
Is there a difference bewtwen liberal and feminist? It would seem not! You might as well be wearing a frock GB.
I dare guess that GB has never worn a bra, so he must indeed be a feminist
I dare guess that GB has never worn a bra, so he must indeed be a feminist [/quote:3ksvlawa] So your saying that if you wear a bra you can't be a feminist? I will fling off my bra, and go topless then! (at least in my bedroom) :geek:

I think you will find many feminists already have beards!
I wear a bra (it does help organize certain body parts neatly) and I do not have a beard, gentlemen. The bra or [i:16ejikgc]not [/i:16ejikgc]the bra, the lack or [i:16ejikgc]not[/i:16ejikgc] the lack of a beard mean nothing to a liberated woman; it is actually the [i:16ejikgc]right [/i:16ejikgc]to wear or [i:16ejikgc]not[/i:16ejikgc] to wear a bra, and to grow or [i:16ejikgc]not to [/i:16ejikgc]grow a beard, that is the essence of Feminism. You and Odo must get out more often, you know. (And GB, you surely know better, you really shouldn't be encouraging them ):-Jane

Ti piace italiano, signore Banks. E un lingue straniere, ma molto bello, no?
Not you too, GB? My [i:33m1n5jr]point[/i:33m1n5jr] does not require an understanding of rocket science. :-Jane
Your point is crystal clear, Jane, it's just that I find teasing women (Feminists especially) with male chauvinistic humour immensely entertaining
Not you too, GB? My [i:2fk5knb5]point[/i:2fk5knb5] does not require an understanding of rocket science. :-Jane[/quote:2fk5knb5] I was just puzzled over the "encouraging" them bit. :? [b:2fk5knb5]GB[/b:2fk5knb5]
I think I can explain, GB. It was that "laughing" emoticon you put in a few posts back. Jane is a little too naive to know what you found funny, but being one of those insecure modern women (humourless types all), she thought you were laughing at her. This is the trouble with girls discussing serious matters or making jokes - we girls are just not built for it. If we don't understand a joke (and often I don't) we must laugh along anyway. Jane, by baring your teeth like the Original Serpent you thereby show your (feminine) shallowness. Women should stay clear of Men's logic and humour. We have other (feminine) attributes and should never be ashamed of them.
I may be naive, Mirabella, but at least I'm not a veritable clone of Odo Banks. You know, you must separate yourself from him, if that's possible. You two sound more connected than Siamese twins. Indeed, I seriously wonder sometimes where the one ends and the other begins:-Jane
Indeed, I seriously wonder sometimes where the one ends and the other begins:-Jane I don't think any of us know the answer to that one!
You know, Petty, I sometimes wonder if Mirabella is really a young woman and not some cynical male masquerading (albeit, if so, a very childish one!). She certainly sounds like a man at times (albeit, if so, a very childish one!), though some women are happy to be mouthpieces for men, that might be all it is, still... :? :-Jane
I find it fun to crack a woman joke every once in a while, but that's because I can act kind of boyish sometimes. My sister and I always used to play out our favorite disney movies. Not knowing any better, I always was the prince. So I've grown up being able to relate to boys a bit better. And some think that some things men are just naturally better at. But that's been my goal to disprove
Ah, Italian - much more to my liking
I don't want to sound rude, Tin, but isn't there a girlie thread for this kind of chatter? :x
tousche my friend.
No need to swear at me, Tin! How dare you call me a [i:2f60k6tj]tousche[/i:2f60k6tj]* :x * don't know what it is, but it does sound abominable! How dare you!!! :x :x :x
That's my fault. I meant to spell the word that sounds like too-sh-A. Like in fencing.
[i:30watjwu]Touché[/i:30watjwu] - it's French
French!!! :o So it's worse than I thought! And what's this about "fencing", Tin? What's this got to do with "fences." Are you being facetious in some clever fashion? The cheek! :x
Excusez-moi?!

(I'm sorry- please forgive me!)
'I'm sorry- please forgive me'- Jolly Tin might but will Odo forgive you for bringing French to Needlehole?
E una bella lingua, no?
"It's a beautiful language, no"? That one was very similar to French
By Illuvatar its like being abroad (not Needlehole abroad- its Oz thats just Brits on an extended holiday they'll come home eventually with a really long, boring slideshow of their stay- 'and here's the delightful natives before we introduced them to alcoholism and told them they could only live in the really hot bits.') With all this foreign lingo afoot I'd best resort to the tried and trusted British method of dealing with foreigners. BY SHOUTING AND...TALKING...VERY...SLOWLY..EXCUSE.. ME... FOREIGN.. PERSON.. COULD.. YOU.. DIRECT.. ME.., TO... THE... BUCKIE?... NO?..SOME FRIENDS WILL BE ALONG SHORTLY TO INSTALL A RAILWAY, POSTOFFICE, POLICE FORCE, ARMY, PARLIAMENTARY DEMOCRACY AND SOMEWHERE THAT SERVES A GOOD DRY MARTINI.....COMPREHENDI? That should do it.
You mean like this Petty?: ?????......?...??..??..?...??..??..??..?..??..?..??...?...???...???..?????????????????????????????????????????????..... COMPREHENDI? [b:2yn3j6c3]GB[/b:2yn3j6c3]
Google translate says: Speak loudly and slowly ...... very ... .. excuse me ... .. foreign .. personal .. you can .. .. .. .. I direct, to .... Pakistan ..? ... No? .. Some friends will soon be installed along the railway, post office, [b:3ul6uxbg]police force, army, parliamentary democracy, and can show a good dry martini somewhere .[/b:3ul6uxbg].... Sounds like GB all right

Oh good - all those foreigners have gone. Maybe now I can get back to trimming the hedges in peace! Bloomin' foreiners! :x
Hey Odo, I think you dropped this. It's your respectability from a while back. 8-) (Here to help! )
 I think you'll find Ringdrotten picked it up.

He did win the Most Respectable award, right?
Why, of course I did!
First it was Females, then Foreigners, now it's Fruitloops! Hey you guys, if you must lollygag, lollygag on someone else's thread! :x :x :x
For cheeseus's sake...another with the lollies already... :?
