The uncoolest place to me = the Grey Havens : all those fancy, weary and boring Elves leaving Middle-Earth to go to their Disneyland --- Valinor.

Grey Havens r certainly the uncoolest place, indeed.
Mordor is cool and Moria to. Great wars on both places Big Smile Smilie I don´t know what is the uncoolest place
I think it would be in Saurons armpit. That would be smelly Very Mad Smilie
I hate the Dead Marshes.
I think the uncoolest place would be in the home of Lobelia Sackville-Baggins. Elf Rolling Eyes Smilie Even Mordor's better than that.
Darous I have to agree with you. That would be the most uncool place! Jumping Flame Smilie
But if that wasn`t a choice, I`d say MORDOR!! So Angry Smilie
Don`t get me wrong, great fighting scenes and everything. It`s just, smelly orcs and Urak Hai hanging around(Plus bossy Sauron!) isn`t my idea of fun and cool! Big Laugh Smilie
They're all preety cool to me, bud Mordor is the last place i would take a vacation to!!

Lol Big Smile Smilie Indeed the uncoolest place. Don't you think her wardrobe is completely filled with umbrellas of Bilbo's?
The worst place in Middle-earth(besides Mordor and Moria)
is the land of Rohan.Open fields as far as the eye can see and bare mountains...
Rohan souds just like Texas.
I never suspected that Texas looks that bad(no offense)
Very Mad Smilie
The most "un-coolest" place in ME (both physically and metaphorically) has to be Mount Doom. It's cracks can leave you red faced and it's a place to be wary of losing your finger. Have to say though, that however bleak Rohan may be....Texas is a whole lot bleaker!!! Smoke Smilie
I thought Rohan sounded kind of nice, and the Rohan scenes in the movie were beautiful...but then again, I like Texas, too, so maybe I'm just strange that way... Wink Smilie

I have to agree, Lobelia is soooo awful.

I think the uncoolest place has to be the old forest! I mean, trees swallowing hobbits?? Creepy!!
That does sound creepy but I love forest. I would love to go exploring the Old Forest.... just because. Of course, I would have to take Tom with me, so that if i got into trouble he could get me out. lol

I did too actually. Texas has its beautiful spots, but in places it is down right UGLY. especially where there is nothing but dirt, no grass, no tree just yuck. Then there are areas that are really really beautiful. So, it just depends on what you are looking for. Texas is a big state with different climates in certain areas. Something for everyone.

In place you are correct. Texas is bleaker. But I wouldn't want to be in Mount Doom. That place scares me to death.

None taken. I don't know why I am defending Texas. I hate it here. The only good thing in Texas is the fact that I met my husband here. Oh, and I do like Galveston. It is nice.

ewwwww that is just gross. I am not sure about Mordor or Moria. I think it would be cool to explore those areas more, after all the orc and Sauron are gone of course. I think they could be fixed up and made into very neat places. I mean the dwarves made Moria beautiful till they dug too deep. I think it could be done again, and Mordor, I wonder what kind of treasures he ended up leaving behind? I would love to try to fix up Mordor. I think I could make it beautiful. There is even an inland sea there. That would be just tooooo cool.

Especially if you could get Sam and his little "G" runed box of magic dust to help. Elf With a Big Grin Smilie
That is very true Grondy, "Oh, Saaaaaam? I could use your help with a small, very small project that I wanna work on." LOL

LOL! It sure is Big Smile Smilie
well, kindof. but agree with Darous though. Saurons armpit. ew.
I'd have to say the Dead Marshes, or the Ice-Bay of Forochel. What's wrong with Rohan, Moria, Mordor, or Mount Doom? I'd consider those great vacation spots. Rohan looked so nice in the movies, same for the others, though they'd be a tad scary (even more the reason to visitSmile Smilie )
Hey, aren't u forgetting something?!? UTUMNO and ANGBAND were in Middle-earth, and I don't recall many happy people returning from there! (oh, there were those ruined Elves thet escaped from thralldom, as well as Beren and Hurin, but I don't think they enjoyed too much the conditions! hehe) Compared with this two Hells-on-earth (btw, Angband is literally "Hell of Iron"), I guess Mordor would be almost nice!

If we're talking here only bout the 3rd Age Middle-earth, well, than I'd say I'd gladly miss a tour of Cirith Ungol or of the Paths of the Dead! Spooky places, aren't they? *shivers*

Namarie!
I think the uncoolest place in Middle Earth would have to be the toilets in Isengard...after the Uruk Hai's weekly curry night. Nasty stuff folks! Orc Going Huh Smilie
i only live in Rohan cuz its open and i can practice with swords spears bows etc. in peace uncoolest place? you are right Halo...................i wish i could live in mordor we would have won the battle against men then

GET HALO 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the un"coolest" place would be the Crack of Doom. I mean its so hot with all the boiling lava flowing all around you. Who would want to spend even a moment there? I hatesss it, my preciouss
I don't think Isengard is exactly a paradise, now. Ever since I saw the movie, y'know, whereall those Uruks were breeded. It was gross. Someone here said that the uncoolest place was Sauron's armpit, well, I say, try the icky mouth of a Uruk! (The saliva is particularly gross)
Beside Mordor and Lobelia's house and sauron's not existant armpit...

I would say that Shelob's lair, and the paths of the dead are the uncoolest
I think the uncoolest place would be in a Nazgual's stomach.
I'm with Bugyfeanor all the way on this one, though I wouldn't want to be in Nargothrond after Glaurung sacked it.

Now that that's out of the way....

Texas, for those who don't know, has one of evrery climate on earth except tundra. If you like mountains, there's West Texas. Also, if you like desert (which I don't) there's West Texas. If you like river valleys, there's South Texas. If you like plains (which I don't) there's where I am up to where Mellie is. If you like forests, there's the East Texas Piney Woods (yea!) If you like swamps, there's The Bayou City, my home town, Houston. If you like the coast, there's a nice big long one, and yes, Galveston is gorgeous, unless a hurricane drops by for a visit. There are parts of Texas I hate; Central Texas is way too dry for me, and I don't like to think about West Texas (come to think of it the plains really go from San Antone to the Panhandle then back over to Mellies neck o' the woods, but there's hills by me as you head west,) but the solution to that problem is not to live there. In the words of Ernest Tubb (the original ET) "There's a little bit of everything in Texas."
Sounds like Texas is a nice place to be from ..... far from. Elf With a Big Grin Smilie

"How yuh gonna keep 'em down on the farm, after they've seen Paree?" Still, I expect there are many who think Texas is beautiful no matter which part you find yourself in.
Naw, it's not that bad; there's a trick: just describe the place you want to the Travel Bureau. Unless you're an Eskimo we can match it.

have to agree with u there.
i think that Utumno and Ered Gorgoroth (The Mountains of Terror) would not be fun places to live or vacation or even see.
But come on, a nazgul doesn't have a stomach really anymore, does it? Its just a spirit type thing... I reckon the uncoolest place would be at the bottom of the sea of Nurn (who knows what could be down there?!?!?!?!)
Quote:
(who knows what could be down there?!?!?!?!)
Mayhaps another Cephalopod like the West Gate of Moria's Watcher-in-the-Water Question Smilie
Or maybe the Kursk.
Or even Jules Verne's Nautilus scuttled there by Captain Nemo.
It's getting really crowded down there. Nessie is going to start a lawsuit over it soon.
Do you mean the sea of Nurnen?

For some reason, I thought I read that that sea dried up. I may be wrong. Please correct me if I am.
possibly mount doom as it begins to explode - great from a distance but not too good close up!
I would have to say one of the un-coolest places to be in Middle Earth would be the dungeons of Baradur. All those nasty orcs having fun torturing their victims. Probably same thing happened in Angband. I also thought Luthien dancing before the throne of Morgoth would have been a terrible place for her to be in. So beautiful and yet surrounded by such depravity and cruelty. It must have been a breath-taking sight to see such opposites in the same place; her beautiful singing and dancing unfolding before Morgoth himself.
Being geeky.. and not counting Mount Doom... I guess South Gondor (Now a desert land, according to the map in my copy of LotR)
I'd have to say that the pass of Cirith Ungol would be the most uncoolest place in Middle Earth. It's just plain creepy! And I don't even want to get started on how scary Shelob would be... ew!
How about various parts of Mirkwood? Pretty dingy.
Harad, too hot
