Someone made a live action movie of Terry Pratchett's Diskworld novel Hogfather and it has been running on cable this month. It is quite good and though it has been a while since I read the book, I felt they did a pretty good job of telling the tale of how Death on Hogwatch night, stood in for the missing Hogfather, who on that night, drives a sleigh pulled by eight hogs, and delivers toys to all the good little girls and boys . Susan, Death's granddaughter filled in for him and was also tasked to find the reason for the Hogfather's disappearance and to bring him back, else the Sun wouldn't rise in the morning and the dastardly Auditors would win.

Good to see YOU again though VeeWaving Hello Smilie
Thank you.

Good to be back.
Hey V, glad you poked your head back into the Planet... Have you ever seen the film V for Vendetta? I have a sneaky suspicion that you are a masked heroine that runs around in a cape protecting the fair people of England whilst roasting buildings Elf Sticking Tounge Out Smilie

As for the Hogfather, I saw that it was on a few days ago or it was advertised to be broadcast in a few days, but I've never seen or read the book, but the plot sounds good... I'll look into it...

I found this on Wikiapedia:
Quote:
In August 2007, he was diagnosed as having had a minor stroke in 2004 or 2005. This damaged the right side of his brain, and while affecting motor skills, has not impaired his ability to write. On 11 December 2007, he posted that the cause of the "phantom 'stroke'" was, "a very rare form of early onset Alzheimer's". However, he remains optimistic and plans to continue writing.

And confirmation at BBC New's Online Article: Author Pratchett has Alzheimer's.
Where asked us to remain cheerful. I also understand he has a lot more books in him and that he plans to get most of them published before they fade away.
