TTT was, I agree, different from the book in many aspects, but I consider it is very closed minded to condemn it. Gollum for instance was superb. PJ's films are based on JRR Tolkiens books; they are not exact translations onto celluloid by any means. Has Ross ever seen a book adapted to screen almost word for word?

It's all just a matter of taste, so really no one can criticise anyone's opinion of the movie. Well, they can, but y'know... 
If everyone liked the films, how boring would the world be? There'd be no one to argue with about them, no one to roll their eyes when you go on about how good or bad they are. Anyway, i really like both the movies...wanna make somethin' of it?
