Glad you all had a good time. I did too. After staying up all of Sunday night and most of Monday morning, my New Years Eve Party didn't include the hot buttered rums made with 150 proof Baccardi that I had promised myself, nor the watching of the Space Needle fireworks, which I usually do. Instead I went to bed at 10:30 PM and woke up at 11 AM just in time to watch the bowl games on TV.
Needless to say my head and stomach have really enjoyed this New Years Day, which ended 15 minutes ago.
Well, for once I am early!
Happy New Year to EVERYONE & their loved ones (families, dogs, cats, books, tetris calculators etc)
I'm gonna steal a line from one of my favourite films since I can't be arsed to think one up myself

Ha! First one to get a New Year's report in. 'twas a dull evening - food, alcohol, etc - didn't we just do this a few days ago? Maybe I'm just getting old, but this is certainly the most sober New Year that I've had! Hope yours turned out better! The fireworks were good though.
I still have to wait another 5-1/2 + hours 'til it gets here, but seein's how it already is, where most of you are, *shout Happy New Year!! and Many Happy Returns to Boot!
Question: What has horns, screams, and spews Champagne?

Hope everyone's New Year turns out better than expected. What's the New Year anyway? Is it a celebration of the Earth making a complete rotation around the sun? I never knew what it was all about.
You know Golly, I always wondered the same thing...same deal with birthdays: 'congrats, you survived for another year'???
Nah, it's like when your mileometer clocks! You have to celebrate all the little numbers turning at once, and it's really exciting!

Oh my goodness...I just had the weirdest experience. I was looking through this topic, reading all the responses, and I came across posts that I had made, that I thoroughly didn't remember making. I checked the times and everything, trying to see when this blank spot occurred. Here I am, freaking out because I cannot figure this out. Suddenly I realized something screwy was going on with the dates...and it occurred to me that this was an old topic. The posts I didn't remember? Last year's.
(I wanted to use the stupid sign smiley here, but I couldn't figure out a way to indicate that it was pointing at myself...haha)
Anyway, happy new year, all...I wish you the best of everything in the coming year!

Yes I know it's a bit late, but I spent the whole of yesterday recovering from the worst hangover i've ever had! And I thought elves couldn't suffer from hangovers... Oh well maybe I'm just half elf.
My stomache was really angry with me...okay maybe a little too much information. Not a great start to the New Year, but a friend offered a good theory: 'I was purging myself of all the bad things that happened last year.'

I happily read down the thread when I saw my post and thought, that can't be right as it is still six hours before New Years and my post says 5-1/2 hours. Enter the current to the light bulb and another great Ah-ha! was discovered. :elfembar:
