What happened to the Message Board threads' first posts?
When the forum data was brought over from old P-T, the first post from each thread was lost. You should be able to obtain the general idea about the thread's subject by reading the subsequent responses.
If not , send a Message to grondmaster@planet-tolkien.com and he will try to resurrect the gist of the post if not the missing post itself. He won't do this for every thread, but will do it for a few as time and necessity permits.
Please don't bother Tarrant (Taz) about this as he already has enough things of a higher proprity on his plate.
