And hello darkness my old friend...
In my last journal entry I wrote some of my history on this board down, and that was a year ago! Time seems to pass faster and faster. Planet Tolkien and I have now been friends for 6/7 years. I've just been reading some of the old threads - remember when Taz mispelt the prancing pony and Plastic made fun of him saying that without the "n" it was the p-racing pony, when we got the other Inns, when the party tree was started....Good times! And the old jokes and quotes threads, and when the council was formed..... It goes on and on!
This time I'll be more honest - I don't think I'm here to stay, only to visit. Back when it was smaller, before the movies came out, then through the big surge when they did, I close to lived on this board and in the chatroom. But I guess the board has grown up, and so have I. I'll always enjoy visiting, and the names of some users I know well, and old thoughts that come back to me will always make me smile.
So this is a thank you to Planet Tolkien for the smiles and the memories, and I hope to remain a welcome guest here. For those who are still here, or more recently discovered, all the best on this board. For those who have left, I still have the odd thought in your direction and like to think you all lead wonderful lives.
