So much death I lived to see
And despite my loving heart,
Which I broke apart,
Some death was up to me,
To bring upon my foes
Or die.

I could have closed my weary eyes.
I could have left all go,
With no more pain to flow
And no more stupid pride.
I was blind to see
The price.
