Oerath – Guardian of woods and lands, Keeper of the Halls of Life

This is other of the two lyrics that I wrote entirely about Oerath (me!) as one of the four guardians, and this story and the other lyric (The Shadowmight) are connected.

’Take your belongings and pack your travelling bag, then take a step on journey and travel far away, far away to the egde of this world, to the woods where lies many secrets and wonders untold. There you’ll meet many magnificent and mythical creatures and witness all of the wonders of nature. Far away in the forests and lands of glory and might, lands where day reigns over the night.'

’Far away, in hiding of this world and most of it's beings
there lies the nameless lake, and the forest of whispering winds
it is said that in those woods, wanders a man who was once clad in shadow and dark
then he was embraced by light of the nature and he finally opened his old eyes
he saw a whole and totally new world just before his own eyes, and from that moment on..
he wandered in those woods, and in lands that are near it, and taugh the ways of Mother Earth to those that would to listen, he also told many tales every night to the children of one small village mother earth herself has given him a task to guard these woods and lands, and he has always obeyed her from his own free will, his heart is both wise and kind, he wants to help everyone, and aid them in battles and daily things, Oerath is his name, he’s very wise and powerful indeed, he has learned to respect Life and even Death, and those that live in these wonderful woods and lands..’

This part is mostly true, but Oerath surely was a servant of nature before his corruption, but he was still a bit lost, so, his return from the realm of Mógrah opened his eyes and strengthened him a lot (read The Shadowmight, and you'll understand what I'm saying).

He’s not lonely, but still so wise and old wanderer
The wanderer of the lands and woods
He walks in the places where none else dares to walk, not even any of the mortals
In the lands and forests, where the whole nature blooms

He likes to talk with every being that lives in the woods and with the trees
The wanderer of the lands and woods
Still often he takes his old pipe from pocket of his grey robe, and a bit he also drinks
And he walks in the lands and forests where is no death, but life and there every flower blooms

And always when the evening falls, and trumphets are already ranging loud and sounds of drums are shaking the very ground
You can also hear how the folk of the woods are singing, and playing their many kind of instruments, like violins, jaw’s harps and flutes
They all gather to their secret meeting place, an open place in the depths of the woods
It cannot be found by any of mortals or foes
And there the wanderer dances, sings and plays his old wooden flute, and tells tales
from the ancient days and times of old

And they all listen to him while he tells his tales
And they all dance around the great bonfire, there they eat and drink
And there they play their instruments and dance every night and forever on
It’s a place where Oerath, the wanderer of the woods normally dwells
And there he shall forever remain with his dear friends
