Good evening, here's a piece of tale, which tells of Oerath and the night when he encountered a wounded female centaur and decided to help her. This is the first part, second will be posted some other day. I just wrote this as I got a bunch of taleish inspiration.
Hope you'll all enjoy of it.

The Midsummer Tales Pt.2 : Oerath and A Female Centaur

It was dark, way too dark, and Oerath was looking at the stars that shone high above in the sky, so bright and beautiful they were, but yet so far as always. Suddenly he began to hear distant and unknown voices from the depths of a nearby forest, and he said to himself: 'Hmm, I wonder..', cleaned the firebox of his pipe and began to walk towards that forest.

And as he got closer, the voices became more louder and clearer, and finally after a hour of walking, he arrived to front of a forest lake, the water was crystal clear and it's surface was still, and at that moment he saw only his own reflection, but as he turned around he faced something he wasn't certainly prepared for, a shadowy figure stood in front of him, moveless and it only spoke the following words with a soft and faint voice: 'Help me, oh guardian of nature.. I'm so weak, my soul.. so many wounds..' and as the moon came from behind the clouds, it's light revealed the true form of this being, and to Oerath's own surprise, a female centaur stood in front of him, blood dripping from her chest and nearly from all over her body , and then she lost her balance and almost fell down to ground, but Oerath was quick and catched her from the air with his hands, and then he thought: 'What kind of cruelsome creature or beast of a man could've done this to a centaur, and to a female centaur...' fury filled his heart for a while, but soon he calmed down and began to walk deeper towards the heart of that forest, carrying her in his hands, and then he said to the unconscious female centaur: 'I'll take you somewhere where it's safe, don't worry, my friend, you'll be alright, no harm shall come unto you as long as I'm here.', the centaur nodded, and let out a slight smile, before she fainted again.

Oerath just kept walking like he had only carried a small pile of wood, and he kept singing to centaur to make her to feel better: 'Sleep now well, my centaur friend, soon you'll able to see the light, don't think of the night, focus only on the sun's beauty and might, for soon you'll be able to see the light, sleep now well, and your spirit will be healed, your soul will be at ease.'
