The valleys once with rivers crossed
Stand now as desert in the frost.

No birds to sing across the plains.
Ashes in the winds of winter.
Only memory of life remains
And life is sprinter.

The mountains far away I've reached.
I wish I haven't seen them bleached.

No leaves upon the standing trees.
Moon's light as hollow cloak.
Only shadows moving peace by peace
Along the rocks.

Last by the sea I've come to rest
My wounded eyes, my soul depressed.

The blue is fading in the dark gray sky.
The shore is lost, almost undone.
The clouds, the waives, the ground
It's all in one.
