Xaié, The Guardian of Knowledge and Lore

I once wrote a work similar to what I'm going to write now, so I guess it could be called a sort of 'remake' or a new version at least, with it's own additions and epic parts, but since I want to honor the original work too, I'll include it in this post.

Xaié, The Guardian of Knowledge and Lore

'Do you know the stories about her, my child? Do you know what lies above the clouds of the sky?
If you look there during daytime, you won't see nothing, but when the night falls upon the lands of this world, you should be able to see it with your own eyes, if you just look closely.. The Twilight Halls.. It truly exists.. And those who are able to see it, should remember it 'till the last of their days.'

Clouds are hiding something.. Something that we cannot see during the day..
But when the night arrives and all of that light disappears and fades away..
Only then we should be able to see an island, floating in the heights of the sky
And there she resides, in her shadowy halls.. She is one with the night.. Her beauty is more than just divine..

We always speak about her, she is mentioned in each of our tales and songs
And even though none of us have ever seen her, I believe that one day, she will reveal herself to us all
Maybe, when the time is right, she will show us a new path and tell us all of the truths
And once that day finally arrives, I hope that she will shower this world with the ancient light of the moon

Oh, Xaié, The Guardian of Knowledge and Lore
You're the daughter of moon, you're the queen of all stars
Oh, Xaié, let the night come, let the shadows fall
As long as there is darkness, it will cloak and protect The Twilight Halls

There you sit on your throne, reading scrolls and books from the times of old
Looking high and far, giving birth to new planets and stars
And always when the morning comes, always when the shadows cloak your halls
You go to the garden of hopes and dreams, there you can rest and create new star streams

And when she sings to the moon, the beauty of her voice makes all of the flowers to bloom
And when she touches ruined pages of a book, it's text shall be written anew
And everyday, when the night comes to it's end, she whispers to Vael Nemathrel
'Shadows be gone, morning shall come. I'll show you the light, oh daughter of dreams and daylight.'

Even history is nothing without her care
She holds the keys of time and space
This world is nothing without it's queen and night guardian
This sky is nothing, without the one, who can even restore the light of fallen stars

Xaié, The Guardian of Knowledge and Lore (original version)

High up in the sky, there floats a magical land, and upon it lies the twilight halls
But it is cloaked from the eyes of mortals and even from those, who know of it’s existence
And to this day, she has only invited a few mortals to be her students, her life-sworn servants
but perhaps a day shall come, when she reveals her halls to all of the people of this world

She is the guardian of lore, knowledge and wisdom, she knows all about everything
There she dwells in her lonely halls, doing researche and reading ancient books
All of the history of Arcadian lies in her library, all of the scrolls, tomes and poems
She has a power to control everything that is part of the sky, even stars and planets

‘During the times of day, she walks around in her vast gardens of renewed hope
Single sight of it all could make all of your worries to fade away, that is truly her home
There she dances, and reads her books, she sings to the flowers, it makes them to bloom
There she walks, in the living forests, talking to all of the mother earth’s children’

‘During the times of night, she walks in her halls, giving birth to new stories and stars
From there she sees everything that is part of the sky and the night
There she wonders, what tomorrow could bring, as hours pass towards their end
There she waits for the right time, so she could rise the sun back to the sky
While the whole world slowly comes back to life’

Xaié, the guardian of knowledge and lore, keeper of the twilight halls
There she stands on the edge of her halls, the queen of all of the stars
Every night when the sun finally closes it’s eyes, and all of that darkness arrives
She rises the moon to the sky, and enlightens all of the stars, so they could shine
