Thursday 3rd February 2011 - Lord of the Rings director discharged from hospital

Peter Jackson has now left a New Zealand hospital where he was being treated for a perforated ulcer.

Publicist Melissa Booth said Jackson was discharged from Wellington Hospital on Thursday and would continued his recuperation at home. He had surgery after being admitted with acute stomach pain.

Booth said a delay on filming of the two-part "The Hobbit" is expected to be minimal.
