Are these the old Middle-earth: The Wizards and Middle-earth: The Dragons trading cards by Iron Crown Enterprises, that you are talking about, Halo, or something new? I think when they came out in 1996 they cost about £2.35 for a 15 card pack and each set contained a total of 180 cards.

Top trumps are a set of around 30 cards with different sections of information (like trading cards) and with the info you play a basic game by reading a chosen section and the accompanying number'figure and usually the highest score wins. That player takes all the other cards entered into that round. Winner is the player left at the end with all the cards!

i.e My lovely Buffy set,
BUFFY SUMMERS

Combat daytime: 10
Combat nighttime: 10
Fright factor: 1
Killer rating: 100%
Intelligence: 75%

fights;

Spike (William the Bloody....A Vampire)

Combat daytime: 3
Combat nighttime: 9
Fright factor: 9
Killer rating: 60%
Intelligence: 75%

Its Buffy players turn and she chooses "Combat nightime 10!" so she beats Spike and collects his card....simple
although not all top trumps are so cool. When I was a lad I had a set of Tractor top trumps.........very thrilling competing over the dragging power of two large farm vehicles I can tell you.......

Because Taz just implemented a major format change and hasn't yet got all the bugs worked out (like the a** problem) or finished adding all the bells and whistles (like turning on the automatic ranking machine).

I keep telling Taz:

Waa! Sorry, these are new ones based on the movie. Those other trading cards sound kinda cool though...I wonder if you can still get 'em...
Oh, has anybody else got that book The Art of The Fellowship Of The Ring? I love that book! The consept art is beautiful, me and my friend (Wiggy) had a good giggle over the Cave Troll drawings...if you own the book you'll know what I'm taking about. No wonder it was so angry :funnylaugh:
