My version of Beethoven's Symphony No. 2 in D Major OP. 36 (1802-03) which I minimized in 1998 on my Commodore, where only six instruments can be playing at any one instant, three on the left and three on the right, if you have the stereo cartridge. It was included on John's War Nags published by LOADSTAR in 1999.

I love Ernie - The Fastest Milkman in the West and his horse, Trigger who pulled the fastest milkcart in the west.....

I am listening to Aslan, an Irish band, performing a version of Pink Floyd's 'Wish You Were Here'. Good version - Migsy - you should listen to it if you have the chance.

The album Wish you Were Here was dedicated to Syd Barrett, original PF frontman who had left a few years earlier. Syd Barrett died recently.

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell
Blue skies from Pain
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail ?
A smile from a veil ?
Do you think you can tell
And did they get you to trade
Your heroes for ghosts ?
Hot ashes for trees ?
Hot air for a cool breeze ?
Cold comfort for chains ?
And did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage

How I wish, how I wish you were here
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year
Running over the same old ground
What have we found ?
The same old fears
Wish you were here

Pink Floyd

Now listening to one of my all time Floyd favourites - Comfortably Numb....
