Those lyrics rang a bell and I've been trying to rack my brains all afternoon, but for the life of me I can't think of where I've heard them, I'm thinking perhaps my grandmother used to sing it when me and my sister were baabies. I think it's perhaps that era, 1940s or 50s............grrrr. sorry, can't think of it, I have managed to refrain myself form googling, though I may very well have to ring grammy up to say howdy..........................

Only title I know is MAIRZY DOATS (Mares Eat Oats) and from that you should be able to decipher the rest of the lines. You can get the rest of the words and tune HERE.

Some else may give us another to guess if the choose.

I love Mairzy Doats! My grandmother really did sing that to us when I was a child! I never knew that another living soul knew that song! A real "Eye-Opener"!

Try this:

"In the naked light I saw
ten thousand people, maybe more
people talking without speaking,
people hearing without listening
and their words,
like silent raindrops fell..."

The sound of silence-Simon and Garfunkle

Feel like Scott in the Antarctic
Base camp to far away
A Russian sun beneath the Arctic
Burke and Wills and Camels
Initials in the tree
She don't like that kinda behaviour
She don't like that kinda behaviour
No
Throw down your guns.......

This is one of my all time favourate songs, everytime I hear it I have to stop what I'm doing and sing along.....

Australian Crawl - Reckless

:)

But even so I`m holding on
I think the world can live as one
If only credence took the lead
The world would see a world to feed

An endless sea of blood that`s spilt
Enough to sail an ark of guilt
And when we lend our helping hand
We`ll have our green and pleasant land

If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much room.

dont blame me? idk the band...ub or something

At Vinegar Hill, o'er the pleasant Slaney,
Our heroes vainly stood back to back,
And the Yeos at Tullow took Father Murphy
And burned his body upon the rack.
God grant you glory, brave Father Murphy
And open heaven to all your men;
The cause that called you may call tomorrow
In another fight for the Green again.

Boulavogue by P J McCall - I did have to do a bit of searching for this....hope that's OK

I love this song - it's a long love story but it's how me and hubby got together..... :inlove: aahhhh

I looked out this morning and the sun was gone
Turned on some music to start my day
I lost myself in a familiar song
I closed my eyes and I slipped away
