Introduction, as it were

Gee it's been a while since I've been on a Tolkien-y board. Long time Tolkien fan. Started the books with the Hobbit when I was somewhere around 7 or 8... Had LOTR and the Silm read by the time I was 12. 22 now and have reread the lot many times. (all except the hobbit which I think I've only read 3 times total. After LOTR it took me a while to get back into it. Actually took me reading Lewis's Narnia books for the first time to go back to the Hobbit, hehe)
Used to know a lot more about Middle Earth than I remember now, but still up there I suppose. On the whole I'm a general fantasy nerd/artist with a strong background in horses to add to it.

Not much more to say I suppose. Have to get back into the swing of things. Been doing mostly Pern games lately so I need to shift my gears back Tolkien-ways. And gladly so!

Welcome to PT! Actaully, not to steal your thunder or anything, It has been a while since I've been on any tolkien board either. So we can dive back into the rich world of Middle Earth together! Maybe we can re-read the books at the same time, it has been years since I've read them...

Thanks for the welcome, all... and Anilorak, I'm already re-reading the Silm. My S/O and I are slowly listening to an audiobook rendition of LOTR (If you ever -really- want to see how much there is to LOTR, listen to it rather than read it. I started to understand why so many folks told me it was confusing/boring even though I knew what was going on the whole time, lol)... But on that same note I wouldn't be opposed to going at it again, lol.

Howdy Lunatteo, welcome to PT. I tend to be away for long periods, most of the peeps here prolly don't know me from a bar of soap.
But I look forward to seeing you around from time to time.
