Even if there is
a bridging movie, that's a lot of different events. It would seem to me that they would be more suited for a collection of short stories than a single movie which would, I imagine, need a unified plot. The attempted reoccupation of Mordor, the corruption of Saruman, the rebuilding of the might of Mordor, and the hunt for Gollum are only marginally related to each other in individual pairs, and the four of them together do not form a unified whole.
It's not my intent to be rude, but I don't think a single movie could be made out of these.
