Hi Indianajoe and sorry but I have to disagree with you there, I love the clean-ness of the Lord of the Rings. The books are written in a style that doesn't include profanities and in my opinion so should the films. I loved the dialogue spoken in the films and I think that sometimes its very easy to spoil films by introducing subjects of explicit nature just for the sake of it. I think the film trilogy already achieves alot of seriousness without using profanities. You should only use profanity when its necessary to, and in this case it really doesn't need it. There is no mention of Sex, Drugs (except Pipeweed!) or extreme
vioilence in the book and it would certainly stray from having connection with the book (and Tolkien himself) and would also contradict the ways in which the LotR triliogy was filmed. I think the two films will be directed in much the same way as the LotR triliogy was, and with some apology I do hope the films are
either PG or 12 certificate
Btw you posted a response to the Favorite quotes thread, I love that part in the film aswell, really sad afterwards though when they play the sad music.
