There's a similar link the "Clues to The Hobbit" thread. :) I've never heard of this actor so I can't comment much on him, but I think he could pull off the physical appearance of a dwarf if he had a fake beard and a wig.

Utter rubbish!! :ugeek:

GeeeeBeeee!! :x

Actually, if we could take this seriously, Mr Bailey might make an excellent dwarf - could bring the right amount of humour.

[Tolkienish humour, that is GeeeeBeeee!!] :x :x :x

Just saw Bill Bailey being interviewed on the Graham Norton show, he mentioned he'd auditioned for the part of Gloin but didn't know if he had got the part yet- which would indicate they still haven't finalised all the casting of the dwarfs let alone Bilbo.

He does look the part. Even if not Gloin in the end, what about one of the other dwarves? :- Jane

I'm sorry but Bill is made for the role now I think of it. Make it a bit more light hearted eh? Not sure about him with a beard though (starts to photoshop his picture).

EDIT: Ok heres my effort. It may look like a 4 year old and a crayon have been let lose on it. But then again I'm not too good with photoshop.

He definitely looks rather dwarfish, and that's with nothing more than a painted-on beard! John Rhys-Davis had so much prosthetics on that his eyes were about all of him that was actually seen on camera, so I'm sure this Bill Bailey fellow would work out great. :D
