Some characters in Middle-Earth we know very well indeed. Others are a bit of an enimga. Which character do you wish Professor Tolkien would have elaborated on?

I would not mind having more background on Haldir.

Elladan and Elrohir.

I wish I knew  more about them in general - as well as what their choice was.

On the note of Sigrun....younger elves in general. We really only know the stories for the great elves in history. Elladan and Elrohir are great examples. Maybe more about Arwen. A "training" story to explain why Legolas is known as being particularlly skillful with a bow, something that makes him stand out from all the other elves, a reason why he was the one to join the Fellowship over his brothers.

Also maybe more about Cirdan's later years, always liked him.

I'm sure there's tons more, but these are who come to mind first.

Tom Bombadil! I think constantly in this character. I really love it and only can wonder.... anyhow, there was another thread where we have written our opinions about him. Not enough info for my thirst of knowledge...

Great thread!!
