Nice to meet someone from near my home turf
. I herald from Dorset, England originally, and transplanted to the USA. My background is a lot of Welsh and Irish though. Good Luck on your Highers (A levels? ).

California looks brilliant.
I remember the Salinas Valley when I read "East of Eden" at school - I think its in California, no??? Yes it is. And it's in the next county South of me (I live in the county Lost Boys was filmed in). It's a little further inland and hotter than Santa Cruz. But the California Central Coast is beautiful. There are some forests and Coastal Cliffs that wouldn't be out of place in Middle-Earth.

At first, it was only GB, Show, Otto's World, and me. I was the only teen. So my best friends on this forum are all oldies. What I was saying was that it's been nice getting some younger people on here. Haha, it's been funny seeing you guys' reactions to my comment . I said it mainly to find out how you'd react . Hey there's an idea Why not make a totally random section on the forum up called, "Cafe" were you can just talk about random stuff (like those Norwegian biscuits - see Other Fantasy Stories section - you must give me the recipe!!!)

Ouch! I didn't know I was OLD! I'm only 26. Granted, I feel old sometimes. Damn kids with their long hair and stupid clothes. Add in married with one child and I guess I am a grown up. When did this happen though?!

I know how you feel, Show. Sometimes even I wonder where the time went. I dread growing up, and yet I am excited. It's all part of the journey, so I suppose we all need to let go of our childhood sometime. But, thankfully, we will always have a little bit of a kid in us.
Don't sweat growing up, it always seems to happen when you're not looking.
Just enjoy whatever you're doing.
You never seem to notice it when you grow up. It's only some day in the future that you stop, look back, and realise, "Hey! I've grown up!"
Hopefully you're thinking about some wonderful life goal accomplishment, and not looking in a mirror at your now graying and/or falling out hair.

Maybe it will slow down once I leave the School...hopefully lol
