Only PJ knows the answer to that one. I suspect it will end with Frodo, Bilbo, Gandalf and Elves leaving for the Grey Havens. I saw a spoiler picture at one time that showed Elanor running into Sam's arms. The only way I can visualize that scene is when Sam returns to the Shire after Frodo and Company depart. Sort of a happy scene to take the edge of the departure of Frodo. Hence it is entirely possible Sam will be saying:
Yeah I really hope it ends that way, it makes the book feel complete as though everything can return to normal now showing the hobbits solidarity and resiliance to anything thrown at them ahhh.
The book is complete already, now just the film.

I hope that it will end as it should, but we have to count The PJ factor, the everlasting, bloody, uneccessary bnot no mention mindless battles he puts up might take out everything we want to see untill the extended edition comes out....
But the endings surely must be the same in the ordinary and the extended version?

I think you mean Rosie (Elanor was their daughter) and at this point, there hasn't really been any mention of Rosie in the books either, if anything PJ has added to it by making the point of showing Sam with her (twice in the extended DVD) and making no bones about his intentions towards her. Whereas in the book, I felt that the whole Rosie thing was an afterthought chucked in at the end to add a little more warmth to finish on.

Rosie is Sam's wife, and Elanor is their daughter. (In the movie, Rosie's the hobbit Frodo shoved Sam at during the dance at Bilbo's party.)
According to me, the movie will end with the Grey Havens for sure : Sam will see Frodo sailing away in that Swanship to Valinor.
But, as PJ likes 'changes' so much, i think the Swanship will then be sunken by a German U-boat...

What??? That's a great ending and can never be changed. I'm sure lots more eople will agree.
That ending made me cry, so they have to put it in the movie! There's something else that i've been really curious about, but i've kind of come to the conclusion that it probably won't happen. You know when Sam finds Frodo in the tower naked, so he has to find orc clothes for him, and then it helps them blend in and so on...i wonder if they put that in the movie. My friend and i have debated long and hard over it, and we've decided the answer is probably no. Has anyone else wondered about this?
If it's in there at all, I think they'll deal with it sort of like the bit with Gandalf after he defeats the Balrog. Meaning it might be there, but it won't be obvious or anything.
I've spoken with PJ he says the grey what's, according to him the ending is Sauron wiping out the entirety of the free peoples, then crushing Numenor (according to him it's still there), going on to capture Aman and then last of all replacing the Eru as supreme being! Inbetween all this a love story develops between Sauron and Shelob!

I`ll just tell you something. I`m in the school council. We had to write a letter of apologie on behalf of year 5 and 6. (That day something serious had gone on in the playground, something bad!) I disagreed with another counciller and had a mini arguement with him. That wasn`t what happened in the playground. Then he said, joking around, I think you`re going to be the next Margeret Thatcher. I told him I hope not, because, I don`t even like her and any other polotitions for that matter.

It's a lot better than some, at least we are free to do most anything we want, have a decent standard of living, and don't get regularly bombed, imprisoned for no good reason or gassed. In fact I can't think of anywhere I'd rather live to be honest. But lets not get into "who has the nicest country?" here shall we, it could get nasty.
