I'm sure they will be, unless PJ replaces them with that undocumented and infamous great warrior maiden, Arwen Evenstar, which should not be allowed to happen, as Aragorn needs to keep his mind on the business of saving Minas Tirith from the armies bearing down upon it. Tongue Smilie

I think the real question ought be: Will the twins appear before or after the Battle of Helm's Deep in TTT , or not until the start of ROTK?
Big Laugh Smilie

Errr... I hope they'll be in TTT, but I guess we won't see them until ROTK. Don't ask me why, but I have this feeling. Smoke Smilie
Maybe Grondy's right. Maybe PJ'll introduce Arwen's long-lost twin sister, Arrrghgwen, and they'll both take over Elladan and Elrohir's roles. Super Scared Smilie
OMG! Cries bucketfulls Very Sad Smilie Very Sad Smilie

I think that if they appear at all, it should be at Helms Deep with their sister. What kind of brothers would they be, if they let her go alone?

ROFLMAOUIPMP!!! Big Laugh Smilie
Ha Ha Ha Smilie

LMAO!!!
Arwen is suppose to sit at home in Rivendell taking care of her sore fingers from sewing that huge banner for Aragorn while (as I hear rumors of) Elrond is babling her ears of about how dumb and ugly Aragorn is, hoping she will not marry him but go to Valinor instead..

The twins HAVE to be there! They are important caracters in the book! They can't stay home and needle-point or what ever, what would their mother say if they sent their sister into battle instead! (What would you say Celebrian? Huh? Let us know! Wink Smilie )
Yes, what would I say?
That they better get out there and fight or I`ll kick their a**es!!
Unfortunatelly that will be kinda difficult since I`m already in Valinor...I`ll come up with something Wink Smilie
Well, since Arwen did not show up at Helm's Deep, perhaps she will come with Halbarad and the Rangers. We can then live in hope that she will have the good sense to bring her brothers with her.

The above would fit in nicely with PJs LOTR. Arwen can bring him the sword and the banner at the same time, and Elladan and Elrohir will still be available to do all that cute stuff, like chat to Gimli, carry torches, provide council to the Captains and help lead the army to the Black Gate.

Just think, if they had been at Helms Deep they would likely have been killed, and then they couldn't have done all the other important stuff they need to do. I am still hoping for action figures.
i hope that willl see them but is more hopefull to see Arwen with the Guardian's .

I swear, if Peter Jackson doesn't put the twins in RotK, I'll hurt something. They are the coolest elves.
In the Extended TTT DVD Commentaries, PJ tells us why he is leaving the twins out of RorK: There were just too many new characters that needed to be added to the RotK movie and that the twin's parts were unnecessary to develop the plot, so they were the ones dropped.
Ack! Even MORE charecters kicked out!
That's not that bad, S-Helm... they would've been ugly and chubby anyway, like all Elves in the movies.

No wonder movie-Galadriel makes those Elven lads march into Helm's Deep to get slashed by Uruk-Hai : enough is enough, they've been ugly in Middle-Earth for too long!! get rid of the garbage!!

/me wails in anguish and Very Sad Smilie
I saw the official photo guide book to ROTK at the bookshop the other day, so of course I started reading it. There's a picture of the reforging of Narsil, and it shows two male elves with dark hair and identical looks doing the reforging, so maybe, just maybe it is the twins. I hope so! Big Smile Smilie
I don't know, Naira. I've seen those pics too, and from a different angle, I could swear one of them has blonde hair. The dark haired one, whose reflection we see in the water, shows promise though. And I liked the idea that they were smiths (couldn't have spent all of their 2700+ years killing orcs could they?). In fact, the next fan fic I write, they will definately be smiths in their spare time. (Thanks for the idea, PJ Wink Smilie )

Grondy: Where is that interview exactly? I can't seem to find it. Does PJ say they are out of the whole movie or just Gondor?

If they are out completely, I will be very dissapointed. What would it have hurt to dress up a suitably attractive extra and just put him in the background for us? Or have him follow behind Elrond so we know who he is? Then right click on the mouse, copy, paste, and there is his twin. How much screen time would that take? And it would make a lot of folks so very happy. Got The Blues Smilie

I'm not sure which disk Allyssa, probably three; however, it could have been during the parallel commentary on disks one and two. I don't think it was on four because I have just begun to explore that one. I'll try to remember to look for it next time I watch it. It may be where he talks about expanding Arwens part or removing her from Helm's Deep or about ignoring Tom B. during the whole movie.
Well, now that we've seen ROTK, was the twins in the movie? Some people say that they were the blacksmiths, but some people disagree. I thought the blacksmiths look like twins, but not sure if it was them.
No, the twins were not in the movie; had they been, they would have been standing behind Elrond when he presented Anduril (the reforged Narsil) to Aragorn. True to his word, PJ omitted the twins from his movies.
