I received a book for Christmas called "JRR Tolkien: Artist & Illustrator by Wayne Hammond and Christina Scull.
You will find the sketches in this book. Big Smile Smilie
I highly recommend this book for any Tolkienite.
That sounds like a great book, I'm going to have to pick that one up myself!

i have a book called charictors of Tolkien it has very good color pictures and almost every page has a black and white sketch so this could be helpful it has fall of gondolin battle of the Hornburg bara dur the fall of Isengard and many others
Isengarder, i am pretty sure that you can find what you are looking for online or in collectors shops!!
Does anyone know where Tolkien's original drawings are kept? I heard somewhere that they were at the University of Madison. Can anyone verify/contradict that?
There is a early sketch of Isengard in HoME 7 The Treason of Isengard . There are also other Tolkein pics in the other History of LoTR books (HoME 6-9) and you may see something in Pictures by J.R.R Tolkein

Actually I think most of Tolkiens original drawings etc are at one of the University of Oxford libraries, the Bodleian Library.

It would surpise me if they were not in one of the Oxford Libraries, or in the possession of one of his family members.
