We got a e-mail from Grondy's daughter, telling us that our dear Grondy has fallen ill and is now in hospital. But don't worry, he will be well again and she expects him to be back home after the Christmas holidays.

We have received an update for you all from his daughter and he is doing alot better!! 
Grondy is now not in hospital, he was released last Tuesday and is feeling alot better and happier to be out of there!! He will not return though for a few weeks, as he is trying to fully re-cooperate. We are told that he is suffering from serious computer withdrawal

I just happened to drop by and see all the old friends from PT, and heard the news about Grondy. I am very happy everything has gone well with him and hope to see him back soon.

I received an email from Grondy's daughter today. He is out of hospital and in a skilled nursing facitlity and doing very well. He expects to be home by the 2nd week of February. She planned on visiting him today and will relay the news about the return of our fraggle king. I have no doubt that he will be very excited to hear all the news and read your best wishes for him.
Can we get an address for the facility? Would be nice to send him a card from PT, if not an address for the facility, perhaps his home.
His daughter has been quite helpful with emails to keep us updated on his health. She could be asked. Although, it might be a better idea for everyone here to write and sign a 'Get Well Note', take a picture of it, and send it to council@planet-tolkien.com, that way he'll have quite a few cards when he returns. There may be some now useful Mithril in it for you if that is possible now?

I received an update on Grondy. He is doing very well and should be home by the 1st week of March. He is having a bit of online withdrawal as it is not available to him in the critical nursing facility.
So, keep your thoughts and hopes that Grondy will be back with us in a few weeks.

He is doing really well and the wounds have healed. The next obstacle is to build his upper body strength so he can home and live independently. That may take until mid-April but could be sooner with all the good wishes coming from our PT family, which really motivates him.
She wanted me to convey her gratitude to everyone for encouraging him so much. She has been relaying our messages.
I will keep in touch and relay any reports.

Yes, I can imagine it might be something like that. But has anyone got some info on what is actually wrong with Grondy? It's probably just me , but I don't think anyone's ever said exactly.

I am quite sure he didn't have a stroke but it is probably something to do with his wheelchair accessiblity and conditions related to that. Hopefully, it won't be much longer. I know that his daughter is conveying our best wishes to him and he is aware that he is missed very much around here.
