Will WETA run a Hobbit fan club like the one for LoTR's?
I enjoyed the magazine that came with membership and the proceed's, I believe, help finance the movies. Also, members got their names in the credits on the extended versions of DVD's, kinda cool.
Would you consider membership if they did this again with the Hobbit?
Thread: Hobbit Fan Club

I do not wish to be a fan until [i:ts37c2lu]after[/i:ts37c2lu] the movie has been made - that's [b:ts37c2lu]logic [/b:ts37c2lu](with apologies to Tweedledum - or Tweedledee).
You are missing the point Odo. By being a member you were provided with inside information via an exclusive magazine. When production of the movies completed so did publication of the fan mag. But, my question was not would you join, but if anyone knew if WETA was going to repeat this.
You maybe logical, but I have my name in the credits of all 3 movies LoTR's That makes me Imortal!
Which only seems logical to me!

Ah! I'm not sure I would want my name attached! If the movies please me, then perhaps my name could be mentioned in the inevitable Extended Versions!

At least someone besides me enjoyed Jackson's films
.
How did you get your name in the credits Mtsquad
? Was that part of the membership package?
And I don't doubt that an official Fan Club wil be created once Production actually begins

Depends on how much it costs, I guess. It might be cool to have my name in the credits, though the text is too small for me to read (at least on the LOTR ones). I'm not exactly rolling in cash though, and there are other causes I'd rather donate to then a multi-million dollar corporate project.
That's just my personal preference, though.

Yes Gandalf it was like a fringe benifit. I loved the movies especially the extended versions. I love the books too, but I'm so glad the movies were made and made with real conviction. A modern miracle!

That's what I say too
