Thread: Should make an information sticky.
Planet Tolkien is archived and no longer updated, but the forums remain browseable. We have established a Telegram group for old and new visitors to stay connected and discuss all things Tolkien.I became curious about whether or not a film will be produced from The Hobbit. Google pointed me to the-hobbit-movie.com. I can see that it is a fansite, but information for those that are less informed is not up-front. An organized up-to-date sticky with confirmed facts about the films might be good. I personally got my information from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0903624/ and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1170358/. Maybe this should be a page on the website also. Just a thought. Forgive me if there is already something like this and I missed it.
Hmmm, well, an idea might be to check out the "Breaking News" section of the Forums if you haven't already, that section might have what you're looking for!

If you wish have a source on the main site, then talking to Ady would be best, though he dosent converse much
. I'm not sure if the mods can make stickies here, or even that it is possible without making a new category. I would suggest to talk to one of the moderators and I have a feeling one will stop by soon 
. As for IMDB, we have found that its best to avoid it, as much of its "info" is a collection of rumours. But then again there is not too much confirmed info about [i:791qgblv]anything[/i:791qgblv], as we still haven't been green lit 
. We do have contact with someone 'observing' the scene construction, but it is up to him to make himself known. Its not hard to worm out the news, just look at the post number and keep your eyes and cyber-ears 
peeled.
