Old master.......You are in my thoughts....You have brought me loads of happiness when I was down....

I have thought more about my life since I read the books.....I thought long and now I have come to my life decision: To own all of your wonderful work....LoTR related or not!

Thank you J.R.R. Tolkien for completing my life

I acctually read about Beren and Luthien as I went to bed the 2:ond of September. No, I'm not a copycat, I just was at that chapter in the Sil, so. Smile Smilie
I'm gonna go and honour him some more soon, by reading some more.

Oh, and I also got another book by him today, I was really happy! Big Smile Smilie
For the past three years now I have been waiting patiently for the return of my copy of the Hobbit. I've only read it once, about twenty years ago, so taking Elfstone's postBody to heart I decided to buy a new copy today. Luckily my local bookshop had the illustrated hardback version on sale at just ’5 so I snapped it up.

It looks really nice, so hopefully I'll get time tonight to begin reading it. Read Smilie
Drink and make merry this month!
I really should read a little Tolkien this month too, so I will make it a point to fit it in between reading my biology and civics homework. Big Smile Smilie

Wow! I can't believe that you've only read The Hobbit once Val. I have to say that I was very surprised when I read that, but I’m stoked to hear that you’ve got yourself a new copy, and that you're getting ready to give it another read!

It does seem strange that having read the Silmarillion three times in the past year, I'd only read the Hobbit once in my life. Still, that has now been taken care of and now I'm only a couple of chapters off having read it twice in my life. Having illustrations dotted through it is really nice too. I think after this, I'll have to root out a hardback illustrated copy of LotR and give it another go.
I am planning on re-reading The Hobbit as well, but I was planning on starting it on Bilbo and Frodo's birthday. Wow, I can't believe that you have only read it once until now Val. I think this will be my 3rd time since joining PT.
