Yes #1ElijahLover, on 10 May 2000 I posted that article to our home page. Some of it is phony or at least apocryphal; however, the bit about 'The Scouring of the Shire' is for real; Peter Jackson has said as much in an interview.

There is just to much of the story left untold for it all to be added in the three or four hours of movie remaining, to add the Battles of Bywater and of Sharkey's End to the movies, they will probably have someone mention these on the way to the Grey Havens or maybe they really will kill off Sarumen in Isengard rather than at Bag End.
