How about...'It`s the Hard-Knock life' from the musical Annie....I`ve got to do that as one of my songs for Mardi-Gra this year. It`s in London on the 18th May, at Her Majesty`s Theatre. It`s going to be really scary... Very Sad Smilie

Quote:
My Uncle Ned was there,
He came to gape and stare,
I've never he'd declare,
Seen such a freak so fare.

All up and down her spine,
The King;s Own Guard in line;
And sailing round her hips,
A fleet of battleships;
And over her left kidney,
Is a bird'seye view of Sidney,
But what we liked best,
Was on her chest,
A little grass shack in Waikiki.
That's all I remember. It goes to the tune of "Its Howdy Doody Time" also know as "Taralla Boom de Ay" or some such spelling, and is probably called 'The Tattooed Lady' or something. Elf With a Big Grin Smilie

Quote:
Oh, I got a loverly bunch of coconuts,
See them standing there in a row,
Big ones small ones ones as big as your head,
Give'em of twist,
The flick of your wrist,
That's what the fellar said.

Oh, I got a loverly bunch of coconuts,
See them standing there in a row,
There stands me wife,
The joy of me life,
Singing rolla bowla ball a penny a pitch.

Singing rolla bowla ball,
Singing rolla bowla ball,
Singing rolla bowla ball a penny a pitch.
That's what I remember of that one.

I should have just googled these instead of doing them from my rememeber block; however, if was fun trying to dredge the recesses of my mind. One often finds facts of little use in the cracks and crevises of their memory, if they've a mind to it.

"Oh, you can't rollerskate in a heard of Buffalo, but you can be happy in you've a mind to it." -- Roger Miller I believe.
I hate that song, it`s such an earworm! ARGH!!!!! Big Laugh Smilie
"Found a Peanut, found a peanut, found a peanut yesterday..."

(Or is that one just me?)
I find Britney Spears the most annoying to listien to ,like;
"Im not that innocent"or"Im a slave for you..."
and or "All we are is dust in the wind..."That song makes me feal bad,and I can't get it out of my head.

Or that song by Kylie Monogue"I cant get you out of my head..." hmmm, funny I cant get her out of my head.
^Feawen.^
I hate Britney Spears! Mad Smilie

I like Justin Timberlake, all of his songs I can`t get out of my head! But I like all his songs so that`s not a problem!!

His new song, 'Rock your body', is probably one of the biggest earworms! There is 2 lines I like to repeat:

'....Talk to me boy,
Gonna have ya naked by the end of this song.'

I like those lines! Smile Smilie Big Smile Smilie Wink Smilie Cool Smilie Big Laugh Smilie Tongue Smilie Smoke Smilie Animated Wink Smilie Angel Smilie Rolling Eyes Smilie Birthday Smile Smilie Dunce Smilie Wiggle Smilie Kiss Smilie In Love Smilie I Love You Smilie Making Out Smilie

Nooooo!!! *Bangs his head against the wall* What have you done to me Andrea? I'll be singing that for months now.
I can’t get Seasons in the sun out of my head do you remember it:

Seasons in the sun

Goodbye to you my trusted friend.
We’ve known each other since we were nine or ten.
Together we’ve climbed hills and trees.
Learned of love on ABC, skined our hearts and skined our knees.

Goodbye my friend it’s hard to die.
When all the birds are singing in the sky,
now that the spring is in the air.
Pretty girls are everywhere
Think of me and i’ll be there

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the hills that we climbed
were just seasons out of time.

Goodbye Papa please pray for me,
I was the black sheep of the family.
You tried to teach me right from wrong.
To much wine and to much song wondered how I got along.

Goodbye Papa it’s hard to die.
When all the birds are singing in the sky,
now that the spring is in the air.
Little children everywhere,
when you see them i’ll be there.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the wine and the song,
like the seasons have all gone.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the wine and the song,
like the seasons have all gone.

Goodbye Michell my little one.
You gave me love and helped me find the sun,
every time that I was down.
You would always come around and get my feet back on the ground

Goodbye Michell it’s hard to die.
When all the birds are singing in the sky,
now that the spring is in the air.
With the flowers everywhere,
I wish that we could both be there.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the stars we could reach,
were just starfish on the beach.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the stars we could reach,
were just starfish on the beach.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the wine and the song,
like the seasons have all gone.

All our lives, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun,
but the hills that we climbed
were just seasons out of time.

I love that song, well, I don't really, but I love singing it really loudly when I'm drunk, and everyone around me really likes it when i sing it too, honest they do, well that and...

Born Freee, as free as the wind blows, how do the words go...
I have one!

From the musical Grease, We go together.

We go together like, Rama-lama-lama, ka-ding da ding-dong.
Remember forever,as
Shoo-bop sha wadda wadda,
Yippity boom de boom.
Chang chang, changity - chang shoo bop,
That`s the way it should be. (Whaa-oohh! Yeah!)

We`re one of a kind,
Dip-da-dip-da-dip,
Doo wop da dooby doo.
Our names are signed Boogedy Boogedy Boogedy Boogedy,
Chang chang-a changity chang shoo bop.
We`ll always be like one. (Whaa-wha-wah- whaaaaaah!)

When we go out at night,
And stars are shining bright,
Up in the skies above.
And at the high school dance,
Maybe it might be La-a-a-ah-ove.

(Riff chorus)

We`re for each other, like
A wop baba lu bop, a wop bam boom!
Just like my brother is,
Sha na na na na na yippity dip de boom,
chang chang-a changitty chang shoo bop,
We`ll always be together.
(Repeat till music fades.)

Ilove that song! Big Smile Smilie
Also I can’t get Lola out of my mind and it’s driving me crazy. This is the part I can’t get out:

Lola
The Kinks

I met her in a club down in old Soho
Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like cherry-cola
See-oh-el-aye cola
She walked up to me and she asked me to dance
I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said Lola
El-oh-el-aye Lola la-la-la-la Lola

Well I'm not the world's most physical guy
But when she squeezed me tight she nearly broke my spine
Oh my Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Well I'm not dumb but I can't understand
Why she walked like a woman and talked like a man
Oh my Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola

Well we drank champagne and danced all night
Under electric candlelight
She picked me up and sat me on her knee
And said dear boy won't you come home with me
Well I'm not the world's most passionate guy
But when I looked in her eyes well I almost fell for my Lola
La-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
I pushed her away
I walked to the door
I fell to the floor
I got down on my knees
Then I looked at her and she at me

Well that's the way that I want it to stay
And I always want it to be that way for my Lola
La-la-la-la Lola
Girls will be boys and boys will be girls
It's a mixed up muddled up shook up world except for Lola
La-la-la-la Lola

Well I left home just a week before
And I'd never ever kissed a woman before
But Lola smiled and took me by the hand
And said dear boy I'm gonna make you a man

Well I'm not the world's most masculine man
But I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
And so is Lola
La-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola
Lola la-la-la-la Lola la-la-la-la Lola

Gosh, thanks Pesi, I lost my hand-written copy of those lyrics ages ago, and have been unable to busk it since, now I merely have to print that out, nice one.
No problem mate, enjoy Big Smile Smilie
Well my earworm for a whole week now is Cher: "No matter how hard I try, you keep pushing me aside and I can't bake through..." It got realy annoying after an hour. But this is going on for a week now! I hate Belive.

Mahna mahna... doodoo do-do-do Big Laugh Smilie

[Edited on 13/5/2003 by TomBombadillo]
hmm let's see...

"Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down, the medicine go down, the medicine go dooooown..."

From the always-annoying Ren and Stimpy: "Happy happy, joy joy, happy happy joy joy..."

"At the Copa, Copa Cabana, the hottest spot north of Havana..."

and pesi, you got this one in my head:
"whatever Lola wants, Lola gets...and little man, little Lola wants you..."
Tommie: I liked the cartoon that went along with your first Mahna mahna link.

How about this one:

"Primrose Lane, lifes a hoiliday on Primrose Lane..."

Chicka: "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!"
I LOOOVE that song, pesi! I remember the first time I heard it... nearly passed out laughing.

I have a new ear worm now... several actually. You see, at work there's always a big disagreement over what radio station should be playing so the boss... the "Big Boss" decided to fix all of us and put on an oldies station... oh, joy.

Now I'm fine with most oldies, but this particualar station is like a top 40 out of time... the same songs over and over *hangs self*

My latest earworms:

"Somewhere Beyond the Sea" by Bobby Darin... especially the "I know beyond a doubt" part

"Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers. It's hard to hate this song... but 5 times a day?

and by far my worst ear worm of late:

"When you're alone and life is making you lonely
You can always go ... DOWNTOWN!!"

By Petula somebody. Dear god in heaven, please make it stop...

Petula Clark Prog, much more fun if you sing it in an over acted Scots Accent.. "Doon Toon"...
OMG, Tommie, the link http://downloads.opalcat.com/files/manamana.swf is sooo funny!! I'm going to be singing that all day!
I

I know!!! That song's been in my head for about three days now, and I can't get it out. Thought I might share it with you... Tongue Smilie

Dum dum dum dum de dum dum de dum! Dum de dum dom de dum dum de dum! isn't that the V8 Splash commercial?

I think mahna is just something someone made up

I HATE the song to the TCF Bank commercial, the "All you want is, all you need is, all it takes is a little TCF Bank!" Anyone ever heard of it?
La la la-la la la,
Sing a happy song.
La la la-la la la,
Smurf your whole day long.
La la la-la la la,
Smurf along with me!
La la la-la la la,
Simple as can be!
Next time you're feeling blue just let a smile begin,
Happy things will come to you...
So smurf yourself a grin!
Oooooo I hate Smurfs! I'll get you, I'll get all of you if it's the last thing I ever do! hehehehe!
La la la-la la la,
Now you know the tune,
You'll be Smurfing soon!
This ear worm is driving me nuts:

Am I not pretty enough?
Is my heart too broken?
Do I cry too much?
Am I too outspoken?

Disturbed Smilie Super Scared Smilie
Help,I got an ear worm and I can't get it out!
"Are ya ready kids?"
"Aye,aye captain!"
"I cant hear you!"
"AYE,AYE CAPTAIN!"
"Oooo, who lives in a pineapple under the sea?"

"If nautical nonsense be something you wish"
"Spongebob Squarepants!"
"Then drop on the deck and flop like a fish!!!!Ready?"
"Spongebob Squarepants,Spongebob Squarepants,Spongebob Squarepants,SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!!"
Ahh,you got to watch the show,it is rich. Ha Ha Ha Smilie
Bob the Builder is good one too. He was a daily ear cootie the fist year I lived on my own, as I always watched "Good morning Norway" while perparing to go to school and Bob kept me company while I ate breakfast.

Boooob the builder
can we fix it?
Booob the bulider

Just for Gimli_Axe_Weilder and anyone else who doesn't mind a nice Ear Worm:

I had a link to the tune, but as it exceeded the bandwidth that the particular Website's server was allowing to be downloaded, I bagged it.

Quote:
Fraggle Rock

Dance Your Cares Away
Worries For Another Day
Let The Music Paly
Down in Fraggle Rock.

Work Your Cares Away
Dancings For Another Day
Let The Fraggles Play
We're Gobo, Mokey, Wembley, Boober, And Red.

Dance Your Cares Away
Worries For Another Day
Let The Music Play
Down In Fraggle Rock
Down In Fraggle Rock
Down In Fraggle Rock. ( *Boober)

*Except one time Gobo said it.
Cool Elf Smilie
Fraggle Rock is no ear worm! It's a happy tune that brings me back to when I was a little kiddie.. *sigh* Those were the days..
And I wake up in the mornin'
With my hair down in my eyes and she says "Hi"
And I stumble to the breakfast table
While the kids are goin' off to school’ goodbye
And she reaches out 'n' takes my hand
And squeezes it 'n' says "How ya feelin', hon?"
And I look across at smilin' lips
That warm my heart and see my mornin' sun

And if that's not lovin' me
Then all I've got to say
God didn't make little green apples
And it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertime
And there's no such thing as Doctor Seuss
Or Disneyland, and Mother Goose, no nursery rhymes
God didn't make little green apples
And it don't rain in Indianapolis in the summertime
And when my self is feelin' low
I think about her face aglow and ease my mind

Sometimes I call her up at home knowin' she's busy
And ask her if she could get away and meet me
And maybe we could grab a bite to eat
And she drops what she's doin' and she hurries down to meet me
And I'm always late
But she sits waitin' patiently and smiles when she first sees me
'cause she's made that way

And if that ain't lovin' me
Then all I've got to say
God didn't make little green apples
And it don't snow in Minneapolis when the winter comes
And there's no such thing as make-believe
Puppy dogs, autumn leaves 'n' BB guns

God didn't make little green apples
And it don't rain in Indianapolis

Okay, very very very old song, but if you know it, trust me, you'll be singing it for days!
Yes Andrea, I figure that was Roger Miller's best song. His third best was 'You Can't Rollerskate in a Herd of Buffalo', but his all time Ear Worm just has to be the following from 1965:

KING OF THE ROAD
Words and Music by Roger Miller

Trailer for sale or rent, rooms to let fifty cents
No phone, no pool, no pets, I ain't got no cigarettes
Ah but two hours of pushin' broom buys and eight by twelve four-bit room
I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road

Third boxcar midnight train, destination Bangor, Maine
Old worn out suit and shoes, I don't pay no union dues
I smoke old stogies I have found, short but not too big around
I'm a man of means by no means, king of the road

I know every engineer on every train
All the children and all of their names
And every handout in every town
And every lock that ain't locked when no-one's around
I sing...

REPEAT FIRST VERSE (2x), fade...
"Down town ,where all the people go,down town..."
It gos something like that, and its sooo hard to get out of the head!
