Minas Ithil
Try:
B L O G H O R S E [Edited on 8/11/2003 by Grondmaster]
[Edited on 24/11/2003 by Grondmaster]
Hint: Dwelling place of an Istari.
RHOSGOBEL
How about EMTIRL DEAHD?
Too tired to work on it tonight, maybe tomorrow.
EITHEL MRADD? Nope, never heard of it.
Ah-ha!
MIDDLE EARTH Except we usually expect to see it hypenated.
So try:
G R E Y / N O T / H O U L E [Edited on 1/12/2003 by Grondmaster]
I remember Reug the Loony, he sat in the back of our second period Geometry class. However, he wasn't into horses, but he did think hang-gliders were cool.
Quote:
G R E Y / N O T / H O U L E
Hint: He was into horses and lances and stuff.
Another hint: He rode a horse that killed his father.
Eorl the Young?
Yup. Your turn Arcormacolind’va.
Well Arco, so far I have got it down to:
ELFNAMMIR OF WESTERNESSE, but I doubt if I have the first word right.
Oops, one of the N's should be an F. That help?
Flammifer of Westernesse
Maybe I can revive a dead thread.
NEWDARIBYN
Brandywine
A AD IFF GO MR RON OR
FARAMIR OF GONDOR
NOMATHIATASROFFL
Just for future reference...To have some consistency let's have the number of words in the solution be represented in the puzzle.
And good puzzle, LemonL. I can't figure it out.
good thinking A OX DID RAM CU! i also cant figure it out though
Sorry , I should have done that .instead the answer is : AMLAITH OF FORNOST (Earendur oldest son)
maybe
A Rat Horn
Howbout
Arathorn
You wouldn't believe it but that was by complete accident. I put a rat horn to be funny; then I realized and started laughing even harder.
RAT MOON ROAST EH FELLR
were we going to say how many words? it would make it eiser....
There are five.
And actually I did it so that the solution has the same number of words and the words have the same number of letters to that of the puzzle words and letters in the corresponding order. If that made any sense.
(1st word has 3 letters; 2nd word has 4; 3rd has 5; 4th has 2; 5th has 5)
You don't have to do it my way. I am just trying to make a hard puzzle easier.
RAT MOON ROAST EH FELLR
OK for another hint:
It has The and Of in it.
THE MOON LEAST OF ALRRR
hey , Its been a while .... The only thing I can come up with is: The last moron of ... ?
Finally!!!
The lost realm of Arnor.
I betcha, I betcha!
So if I'm right, try:
ECUGA LORD OF THE THINGS (four words of 3, 9, 2, and 6 letters in length respectively)
Yep, you're right grondy.
The answer isn't...
The chiefslug at gondor
Is it?
You have only the first word right.

Help us out does it have of in it too.
Okay, yes two of the words are
OF and
THE.

Thank you
It might take me awhile but I'll get it...don't worry.
After 2 years I still have no idea what the answer is.
Well I had to look it up, luckily I still had it in a notepad on my desktop.
A real hint: it is almost* a chapter title from one of Tolkien's books.
*I omitted a redundant word.
