Pary Smilie Congratulations Tom. Well done, and have a good holiday. Pary Smilie

Hard luck again, Taz Sad Smilie . Don't give up though. Enjoy life and have fun finding the right girl Wink Smilie
Congrats Tommi. Big Smile Smilie We all knew you could do it!

Taz, there are lots of nice girls in the world, so it stands to reason that some of them must live near you. You are young yet. There is plenty of time Smile Smilie Main thing is, dont hate all girls just because of the one that hurt you.

When I broke up with my ex, someone said: "The best revenge you can have is to be happy without them." I can tell it eats him up to see me now! Ha Ha Ha Smilie
Well done Tom!!! Have an awesome holiday!

Pary Smilie

Good luck Taz, the UK is a pretty big place so hopefully there are some nice girls there Smile Smilie
Pary Smilie Way to go Tommie Thumbs Up Smilie

By the way, I think you ought to decide on one of the following names for the short form (diminutive) of Tom Bombadilo: Tom, Tommy, Tommi, or Tommie. The latter two seem more feminine to me, and you're too old and ladylike to still be a tomboy. Or maybe you don't give a rats *** as long as we call you for dinner. Very Big Grin Smilie
Sorry, Taz. You don't need a girl who messes with your head! There are lots of nice girls in the UK. One is waiting just for you.
Sorry to hear that Taz. Sad Smilie
Allyssa is right you know. Try to have some fun and make other plans.
I am sure there is a girl out there and when you meet her she will say: what took you so long to find me.
So, don't hang your head down.
And if you need a hug, there's always us! Right folks?
Yay for Tommy! Did you have a big graduation ceremony and all?

I'm sorry, Taz *hug*...Rocky Road ice cream does a great deal of good for a broken heart Wink Smilie...
Don't worry Taz mate, it does you good to spend a little time on your own. Eventually you'll meet someone who exceeds every expectation you ever had, and you'll wonder what the hell you ever saw in your ex. Trust me on this one Wink Smilie it just happened to me last week Big Smile Smilie You'll be fine man, throw yourself into your work and stuff and channel your negative energies.

Oh, and well done on graduating Tommy!
I can't guess what Plastic was up to at the weekend Wink Smilie
*whistles and tries to look innocent*
Or maybe you don't give a rats *** as long as we call you for dinner.

Right there! Very Big Grin Smilie

Thanks for all the thanks and stuff. I love you guys! There was a nice ceremony, yes, chika, and I got my diploma after waiting for three long hours. Tongue Smilie

I'm very sorry for you Taz, but I hope you've cheered up by now cos I've been late in reading this again! Tongue Smilie Oh well, there's more than one spoon of ice in a box of ice-cream, so grab a spoon! Animated Wink Smilie

Ok, after some requests, here it is: my holiday story.

My brother and father have a small boat together (a sort of tug boat) and we go on holiday with it every year, together with my uncle on his boat and a friend of his with another boat. This year we planned to tour around Belgium. But on the third day of the holiday, we were in a lock that morning, my uncle's friend gets a heart-attack. So we called a doctor, and an ambulance and he's taken to hospital. We bring the boats back to a harbour and go to the hospital to see how he is. There we here that he's been taken to Antwerp, a bigger hospital, where he is in intensive care. The only problem is that we and the boats are about 20 miles from Antwerp, and we still have the man's wallet and phone and keys and all his stuff. So the next day we leave the harbour and set for Antwerp. In the hospital we meet our friend and see that he is ok. He will be transported home soon, or to a hospital closer to his home. So we decide to sail on, and after a couple of days we return to take his boat back home with us.

In our home harbour we meet a couple on another tug-boat, who ask if we want to go with them on holiday together, with the boats. The problem is that they are these kinda people you're better off without, but you can't just say no, so we do that. The evening before we leave we all have dinner together, and the man who had the heart-attack is there too, so everything came off well for him in the end. We go with these other acquaintances (or however you write it) and set for Tilburg (in Holland) where there is some kind of boat-happening in the harbour. Problem is, the guy on the other boat can't sail properly, so he nearly rammed our boat twice and some other rather stupid things happened where someone nearly got hurt.

When we reach Tilburg, we find out we have problems with our propellor, so we'll have to get the boat out of the water to fix it. Three days later we have found one, and the problem is fixed. We sail on to Willemstad (in Holland too), where we meet some other friends who have a tug-boat too, and who are really nice people. We set off again to have another week of nice holiday. So we thought. But only two days later the toilet on the boat is not working properly anymore, so for that last week we didn't have a toilet on the boat, which is not pleasant, I tell you. Luckily we could use the toilet of our friends, but still... It's not nice anyway. Well that was it so far. Next month I'll be doing a holiday job, but I hope nothing unpleasant will happen anymore. I've had my share of bad luck, I think. Smoke Smilie
Cheer up, things could be worse; and sure enough they soon did. Sad Smilie

And here my friends is a perfect example of life having its way with the best laid plans of rats, cats, bats, human beans, and what nots. Paranoid Smilie

Hope the job turns out better than your boating holiday. Smile Smilie
Actually sounds like quite a good holiday, Tom, unless you were the chap who had the heart attack. Toilets on boats is one of the things I'm still getting used to... None of the fishing boats I worked on ever had such a luxury. After all, with all that ocean around you, what's the point?
Far more pleasant for those around you too if you stick your.... No I won't go there!

'Wish You Were Here'
by Pink Floyd

So, so you think you can tell
Heaven from Hell?
Blue skys from pain?
Can you tell a green field
From a cold steel rail?
A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?

And did they get you to trade
Your heros for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange
A walk on part in the war
For a lead role in a cage?

How I wish
How I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls
Swimming in a fish bowl
Year after year.
Running over the same old ground,
What have we found?
The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

Sorry, I was extremely bored and I've just been dying to get that off my chest. Disturbed Smilie

A beautiful song but you should have credited it to Pink Floyd. You know what Roger Waters gets like. Big Laugh Smilie
Have you heard the version by the Orb?
Thanks Val! All fixed now! Whew, almost got myself sued to death!

No I have not heard the Orb version, but it sounds interesting. Hmm...time to go MP3 hunting again!

Either of you hear the version Dave Gilmour did at Douglas Adams' memorial sevice last year? Just him and an Acoustic Guitar, truly the best version I've ever heard, brought a tear to my eye it did.
No, I have not heard it. I assume than it was recorded so perhaps I shall go hunting once more... I'm gonna need a bigger hard drive. David Gilmour and Douglas Adams. Never would have thought they'd be friends... seems an odd pair, dunnit?
Don't know if it was recorded or not, I saw the live webcast of the service and was totally blown away.
Dougy once got on stage with Floyd and played on one track with them, can't remember which one. He knew a whole load of musicians and said it was one of the best things about being forced into the limelight, getting to be friends with his heroes. Most noteably he was very good buddies with Gary Brooker of Procol Harum.
Cheer up, things could be worse; and sure enough they soon did.
Hope the job turns out better than your boating holiday.

The job is going fine, part from the fact that I cannot feel my arms anymore and I feel muscles hurt where I did not know I had muscles... Smoke Smilie I'm rubbing wooden furniture before you ask: "What are you doing?!". Winking Smilie
