Greetings Most Venerable Members/Fans Of 'The Fellowship',
Paul 'Turk' here with the band Hobbit. . .nice to "cyber-meet" you ?! We have just released an ALL Tolkien LOTR Concept CD called "All For The One". It is a 74 minute melodic/pomp/prog/rock journey through the good Professor's masterpiece, filled with much music (light and dark), dialogues, fun, love for JRRT, and tricksesss! A short quote. . . "All For The One (*): Two very enthusiastic thumbs up to Texas-based pomp-rockers "Hobbit" for this long-expected opus. The ULTIMATE Tolkien celebration album. One of my top-ten Tolkien albums of all time. Written by: Chris Seeman of http://www.tolkien-music.com ".
Since we are an "Indie." band in the truest sense, and are paying for every bit of this ourselves, our apologies, but this is one of the only ways we can 'spread-the-word'. We invite you to go to http://www.cdbaby/hobbit3 to check it/us out, and listen to some 2 minute song clips. There is also a 5 part Hobbit story (with review) at http://www.glory-daze.com (top 10), review/radio at http://www.kweevak.com , review/write-up/radio at http://www.melodicrock.com (many others if needed?), or visit our "new" CD page listed below, for CD graphics and all Lyrics.
We are very much looking forward to 'hearing' from you, thank you for your time, and until next time...may you never feel the breath of a Nazgul on the back of your neck!!

Many Thanks,
Sincerely,
HI HO,
Paul 'Turk' and Hobbit.

ps. we are also now in the process of working out 'licensing' for a song, and a 'spoken word', off the new CD to be used in the future "Ringers: Lord of the Fans" feature length film documentary on Tolkien fans!

Marshwiggle : The link doesn't work. Try http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/hobbit . This one works fine with me

Paul "Turk" : I listened to your songs. Honestly, that's not my style but you've got the potential. Also, where does that "Turk" nickname come from?

Hello Marshwiggle in India, Sorry you couldn't get the site up. . .Garn! You might try http://www.netmusic.com where it can all be heard in full, and/or digitally downloaded? Please let me know if you get in?!

Hello Asteroth, I agree it is not for everyone. Our vision of the spirit of Tolkien was more important than the style/genre of the music, but thanks much for giving it a listen anyway! Although a U.S. citizen, I was born and raised overseas in Turkey! I was therefore dubbed as 'Turk' by my earliest friends here.

Hello Vee, I have just this week started 'doing' forums, and am woefully ignorant in this form of communication. It said for all newbies to start here, so. . .? The Advert section does seem more appropriate. Do you think I will be 'scolded' if I post this same thread there?? I would/will appreciate any and all help in this!!

HI HO,
Turk.
Hello Rednell,
Well, I found it! Thanks Again. Could I possibly bother you with one final request? Could you please change the thread heading to read CD instead of CS? Appreciate you!

HI HO,
Turk.
How do we get to listen to this stuff? (And yes, that CS to CD just might help a teensy weensy ginormous colossal gigantic bit)
Greetings Loni,
Appreciate the post, and I'm sure Rednell will fix the 'typo'.
You can hear quite a few 2 minute song clips at http://www.cdbaby.com/hobbit3, or hear ALL the tracks in full at http://www.netmusic.com. We gladly invite you to help yourself, and please let us know what you think?!
Until next time. . .

Many Thanks,
HI HO,
'Turk'/Hobbit
Hi Paulsal,
I am really sorry about the typo. I really wish the "s" and "d" were not next to one another on the keyboard, it has created all sorts of embarrassing problems for me with my inadequate typing skills. Unfortunately, I cannot edit the topic heading at this point.
I did ask people not to add anymore to the old post and they did anyway, I will transfer over Paulsal's reply but that is all. The thread will then be deleted. Moderator Smilie

Well. . . Merhaba Asteroth!! , ne var ne yok?? Cok memnun oldum!! Kind of like Dwarvish eh, Ha Ha??! Where in Turkey are you? At this time, I am permanently? in East Texas. I was born in Ankara, and lived/grew up in both Ankara and Izmir! Are you Turkish, or an American living a military sevice term there? Since we started putting these CD's out on the internet, I wondered if ANYone from Turkey would ever find me!! You are the first!! Are there any other Turks "out there"??
I play Bass Guitar, and the 'Dark Side' Lead Vocals(a little guitar/keys/percussion), also do all the narrations/dialogues.
Until next time. . .

Gule Gule(without dots!),
HI HO,
Turk
Hey Paul "Turk"!
Seems like you've learned the basics eh? How long did you stay in Ankara/Izmir/Turkey? I wonder if your father was an American soldier here in Adana/Incirlik base. If so, how did you grow up in Ankara/Izmir? I , myself, am pure Turkish and live in Istanbul. Though i'll be moving to Ankara next year. Wink Smilie
Aanyway, i think i can help you about your CD's. Try advertising it in this site ---> Paticik It's a friendly Turkish website. If you don't think you can handle it, i'll gladly help you about it.

That's all for now, keep in touch mate.
Gunaydin Asteroth,
Thank you, at one point I spoke better Turkish than English!! 6 years in Ankara, and 9 in Izmir. Yes, Dad was in the USAF, but not at Incirlik, although I have been through Adana a number of times! I/we would appreciate any/all help with exposing us to the Turkish sites you mentioned! I did a short interview with a lady in "Light Millenium" (Turkish webzine) a couple of years ago but that's it, would love to get something going in the "homeland"! I'm not sure I could handle it right now, but if you started something, I would. . .let me know. I think Istanbul is great for a short time, so much to see, but it is soooo crowded!! If I had a choice, the South/SouthEast coast is where I'd be! Well, here is a lyric from the CD:

EVERYWHERE

You and I, are passing through one of those events
That will change the way we are
Don't be out there wonderin', cautious as an Ent,
Just keep followin' your heart
Colors of time in the fall
Like messengers over the wall
When nobody knows where you've gone
Leave 'em a sign for the road you're on
Think about the dreamers who've been here before
All of them received a knock upon their door
Think about the power in the friends you share
You'll forever take it with you everywhere . . . everywhere
Something is in motion here, we are not alone
Hear the symphony inside?
Signs that I've been looking for, have come into the light
Bringing passion to my eyes
I am at home in the Shire
With a spirit that burns like a fire
There is a reason to question
'Cause there is a doubt in the great beyond
Command your spirit, it will take you high
But keep it on an island, and it's bound to die
Listen to the piper, let it take you there
Magic in that music's going everywhere . . . everywhere
Synchronize the artist, and the will to win
Go for such a mission that your dreams extend
Take a breath of courage, in the morning air
For there's a word that has no limit: Everywhere!

"We are all hobbits and we are. . .everywhere"!!

Until next time. . .

HI HO,
'Turk'

ps. thanks again Rednell!
Greetings, and hope all is well with you/yours?! It's been a while. . .many apologies, but not only do I still consider myself a newbie in this media, things just keep popping up?! We are now working on getting older concert video clips 'presentable' for possible usage in the upcoming "Ringers: Lord of the Fans" feature length 'Fanumentary', along with another music track from an older recording! Will try to do better with mess.-board-comm., and until next time. . .a lyric from "All For The One", track 3:

IN THE SHIRE

You can't get any more higher (oh really?), than a sunset in the Shire
Summer is turning to fall, it is time we get two feet tall! (again?, oh yeah!)
HI HO Mrs Maggot, we want to thank you for the 'shrooms
But we are lost now, never had a chance to read the runes
It's so deceiving at the midpoint,
Had to give up to give it all (what?)
And we've concluded, these folks are not too very tall.
And the senses are waiting . . .
I'll meet you on the other side - in the Shire
Reach to feel what's there inside - in the Shire
Don't you wonder where you are - in the Shire.
Shire nights are full of stars - in the Shire.

HI HO,
Paul 'Turk' and Hobbit.
Greetings Planet Fellowship,
As we move on, and following a brief "narration" is track #3, the first dark/heavy song on the CD, foreboding evil thingsssss to come?!

NAZGUL

Hang the lanterns in the shire,
Baggins up and beware
Fear the black riders,
Bound for Hobbiton Square

Ringwraith, eyeless in their evil;
Oh lost in darkness, caught up in his ire,
Fear the day
Boundless in their life,
Until the ring burns in the fire.

Hear the Nazgul scream,
Be damned forever they call
Search the land for the ringbearer;
Die wherever you fall.

Ringwraith, eyeless in their evil; oh lost in darkness
Boundless in their life, until the ring burns in the fire.

"all fear the flight of the Nazgul"

More to come, so until next time. . .

HI HO,
Paul 'Turk' and Hobbit
Official news coming soon in re. to "Ringers: Lord of the Fans" film fanumentary and Hobbit! Until then, have another lyric?!

THERE AND BACK AGAIN

Sometimes I dream I'm there and back again
Inside I long to whisper to the wind
Won't you take me on to paradise,
I think it might be nice to go
Under the trees on Bagshot Row ("would that be #3 Bagshot Row?")
Sensations change, even after all
He left his home one day in the fall
To the depths below in Moria
He was forever on his way
These are the words I heard him say:
There's an invitation just for you to come down
And look at yourself
Senses are wide open, let the trilogy in
It's not a book on a shelf,
It's a word to be heard
About things I believe that each of us
Will carry on our way . . .
Seasons come and go about their way
Reasons have to pick another day
There's a place I want to recommend
But some adventures seem to never end
When Saturday comes, we'll take a walk in the woods
And make up a song
All about the travels and the stories they told
Just to carry along
Never mind if you're gone
It's a gift to turn you on, so come inside
The journey has begun
To discover all was for the one.

HI HO,
Hobbit
Hello Planet-Folk,
Hope all is well?! 2 more lyrics off the CD for you, the first being our tribute to J.R.R.T., the 2nd a journey's start. Geddy Lee/Rush is the latest 'interviewee' for the "Ringers" film.

THE WIND AND THE WAY

There is a thought to carry me, far away to set it free
There is a world that lies within, you will live it once you've been
Come follow the tale that is callin' you
I think it's the reason we're here
Fine was that summer in the Shire, read the words from in the fire
There's a change forevermore, like stepping through an open door
Yeah, go to a place they call Middle Earth
You'll never again be the same.
Live inside, a story that's deep and wide
We can play a concert on Durin's Day
Here's the ship, the wind, and the way.
There is a ship of fantasy, and it waits for you and me
In the story on the page, it's an epic for the age
Please, don't you awaken this dreamin'
Cause it's free, and it's takin' you there and beyond.
Can't you see? Get lost in the fantasy!
You and I, comin' up from the Greenway
For Tolkien is, the wind and the way . . .

ONE MORE TIME

I feel the wind upon my face now
There's something strange about today
I have to say, I can't believe this feelin'
A new adventure's gonna come my way . . .
I think I've found a destiny, across the Brandywine
Yeah passing undetected, just one more time.
Not many years ago,
I must have crossed a missing boundary . . .
I stood before that fire, but I could not decide
Dreams, won't you take me higher, one more time.
Just one more time.

Until next time. . .
HI HO!!
Greetings Planet Folk,
The latest interviewee in "Ringers: Lord of the Fans" will be none other than Peter Jackson!! More to come, but now onto another lyric. Although left out of the movies, we could not forget the mystery/enigma?! We offer a sort of Smoky/Misty Mountain 'jig' :

HEY BOMBADIL

When the vision comes to me, I hear voices in the air
Tell the doubts to turn around, you can leave 'em there
I can't understand, what they're sayin'
Something's found again, something's following
Will the secrets really come undone?
Hey Bombadil
It's Mr Underhill.
Destination fades away, only hope can pass within
Nothing is impossible ("nothing?"), but it takes a friend
Trapped in yesterday, power in the rings
We are fearful of, what tomorrow brings
Don't be waiting for a dream to be
That's why you and me
Wrote Intensity (all alone in your sighs).
Yeah he dances all around, singing stuff that I can't catch
Even Old Man Willow, knows that he's met his match
He is older than what's above the sky
He is wiser than - even mountains high
Pretty Goldberry's inside his head
Hey Bombadil
She's at the window sill . . . callin' you

Until next time. . .
HI HO!
Hobbits.

ps. Don't forget to support Middle Earth with ROTKEE!!
