I like!

In particular (as a mother) I loved For Kaely Ann.

I like your style.

I put some of my poetry in my Journal mainly because, like yours, they are not Tolkien related.

For Kaely Ann is for my daughter, and as all of our children are to us, she is a great source of inspiration(as well as exasperation!)to me.

Thank you for the compliments. I find it is much more honest and somehow easier for me to express my emotions or ideals in written word. And it's fun to play with words as well! Plus, the English language is so rich and varying that one could never use all of the different ways to express themselves.

Hey-I have an idea, though it might be just as well to post this in the Poetry Forum in the writer's guild-could we use this thread for all members who enjoy such things to write a poem each? It can be any kind of poem-serious or silly-as long as it's an original. maybe like a "Poem of the Day" thread, or something of the like.

Does anyone have one?

There is a thread in the Writer's Guild for people to post poems. The thread title is a little strange - what does Undale mean? But I like your idea. Try it.

When Do you have a poem to share? - Undale (ALL POEMS HERE, PLEASE) was transfered from old P-T, some of the first posts were missing and others were out of order. Today I have rectified the situation so that they are all there and now in order.

Most of the poems in my link above are non-Tolkien related, we made that consolidated thread so we wouldn't have a plethora of pretty poems propagating all over the place like the "Hi! I'm new" theads. Feel free to add your original poetry there. Happy Elf Smilie

The better Tolkien related poetry is also elegible for incorporation into our Fan Writings. Cool Elf Smilie

Thank you, Grondmaster! That thread will do quite nicely as the one I spoke of-thank you for dragging it into the light for us!

And thank you Pere-sometimes I forget rhythm entirely, I get so wrapped up in the thing. Poetry is a window to the soul, much like the eyes. And you can get away with a lot, too...

Anyway, thank you again for tolerating my shameless self-promotion(really it's just boredom!) Dead Smilie
