A couple of years ago my wife and I, after watching the TTT movie, were having a conversation about all things Tolkien, and we touched on both The Silmarillion and Bored of the Rings. Somewhere along the line my brain connected the two, and I uttered the words, "You know, somebody ought to take The Sil and give it the BotR treatm- heeeyyy..."
The end result of this idle conversation is on its way to bookstores as I type this!

First, may I just say that I love your map of "scenic Blearyland"-especially the "Good Chinese Take-out" location. Well done! It is about time that someone attepted the amazing feat of parodying the Sil. Brilliant! I cannot wait to read the book...Thank you for teasing us with your lovely creation and not delivering on the goods(only joking!).
