Every Generation Has A Legend
Not so long ago on a website just around the corner, a new board sprang up. It started small and moved slowly. Yet despite it’s snail-like pace, word of it began spreading. And it began growing. At last the announcement was made, all who had made it their home had to pack up. Our Admin had arranged for a new apartment, and so we all moved with him. This new board started medium, and moved moderately. Word began spreading faster, almost like wildfire, and the board grew. At last we outgrew our apartment. What then? And the news came’ we’d have our own little spot, a huge ranch with plenty of room to grow. And we came to our new home and started medium-large and moved allegro moderato. And we have yet to cease moving, and we have yet to cease spreading. This, my friends, is the Jedi Council.
Compare the size of Han Solo’s Millenium Falcon to Darth Vader’s Executor. Stop and contemplate it for a moment. Now you have the picture of the size difference between the Jedi Council’s apartment at Lamoth and her Texan-sized ranch here at the Wilted Rose. Yoda may say, ’Size matters not’, but we all know that when it comes to room to grow’ size most definitely does matter!
That’s no moon, that’s an impossibly confusing forum! But wait’ there’s hope for the universe’ the Council Tours are here to save the day. Taking you on a non-confusing and quite helpful tour is your host, Marvin. Please keep your arms and legs inside the tour bus at all times, sit back, and enjoy the tour.
In a galaxy far far away, not quite as long ago, there were adventures in Star Wars with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Ever wonder who should be cast if they were made into movies[/tilte]? Want to know what languages other members speak? Eager to find out what really happened in The Phantom Menace? Can you feel the pull of the Dark Side? These topics and more can be found on the Jedi Council!
Are you ready to accompany Old Ben to Alderaan? First, make sure you are at the Jedi Council. That helps a lot. Then, click the link at the far left on the top that says Register. From then on, the For’computer will guide you the rest of the way! So you’ve arrived at Coruscant, and you’re finally a member. What now? Choose a faction’ Is your anger the path to the Dark Side? Will you become a Jedi like your father before you? Or perhaps you shall sit and idle away in the Potentium, both rejecting and embracing the Light and Dark Sides.
Once you’ve chosen to whom you will pledge your allegiance, things will happen. Should you find that your heart leads you to the Jedi, you shall be taken to the Jedi Towers to begin your training. And if you tread down the path of fear to the Dark Side, you shall see [whatever the Sith place is]. And if Tol Eressea is where your longing took you, The Middle Level will open up for you. More surprises await, but you must seek them for yourself ’ don’t you prefer a straight fight to all this whispering around?
To role-play or not to role-play, that is the question. Well, suppose you rise to the challenge, even with the rules set up by the Emperor and Lord Vader, what then? Take your pick’ there’s an entire galaxy of planets to choose from, whether it be a quest in Middle-Earth or a jaunt through some alternate universe, or a hit-and-run in a galaxy far far away, there’s plenty to do. And, an all new and completely unique to the Jedi Council is Triannon, located far beyond the Outer Rim. A land created solely by members of the forum, this is a fantasy-type world never seen on any other board. Whether it is political intrigue between two arch enemies, or a civil-war in a country tucked away from the outside world for year after year, there is always something happening in this busy world.
Wow. What a lot to remember’ role-playing, groups, varied topics’ but all wrapped up in one package that YOU can understand. After all, if Luke can destroy the Death Star his first time, you can figure this all out, and the Council Tours are here to help you. And it’s not as confusing as flying a x-wing, that’s for sure. So’ every journey has a first step, are you ready to take it?
